"I unfortunately had a really bad experience with this dentist. She put a crown on crooked and claimed that it looked fine to her The tooth she crowned is very out of alignment, the tooth pre-crown was not. She told me I had about 5 cavities. I asked her why a dentist that I'd seen 2 months ago, who had taken a full set of X-Rays, told me I had none. She then changed her story and told me that my teeth had "shadows,' and so they were potential cavities. Why wasn't I told they were "potential" cavities, and not "cavities" up front, before I she filled 3 of them? I should have voiced my concern before she filled those few, but I was blindly trusting her and I should not have done that. If I had been told upfront that my x-rays showed shadows that indicate POTENTIAL cavities, I would have never allowed her to drill my teeth. After she filled one of my "cavities," I noticed a few days later that my floss was getting caught on the adjacent tooth (one she did NOT work on). I had to go all the way back for her to remove it. She admitted that sometimes materials were left behind after filling a cavity. If that's the case, why would she not simply take the 10 extra seconds to pull a floss through the teeth to check if any filling material was left behind before sending me home? She begrudgingly used an instrument to clear out the excess material she'd left behind, and asked me to floss and see how it felt. I let her know that the floss was still getting caught in one area, and she loudly, rudely scoffed at me, as if to purposely make me feel like I was wasting her precious time. I'm the one that had to drive over an hour there and back because she didn't complete her work, I could not believe she was childishly trying to make me feel uncomfortable, and like it was me who did something wrong. It was a bummer to even have to write this out, I hate even thinking of this experience. However, it feels worth it, because had I seen a review like this, it would have saved me having had this yucky experience. Even saving one person from experiencing something like this with this dentist feels worth my time and effort in leaving this review."

"Very welcoming staff. Dr provided very clear and concise options. Her recommendation was obviously in what was in the best for the client which is refreshing. In addition to the Dr my exam was one of my better experiences and she couldn't of made me feel more comfortable. I never imagined myself doing a review on a dental experience but felt it may help someone else decide on where they may want to go."

"Best Dentist Ever! One of our patients referred me to Dr. Judy LoSecco on South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota and I am thankful to have found her. I initially went to see Dr. LoSecco because I had a dental problem that a couple of other dentists didn't seem to know how to address or they didn't care to take the time to. Dr. LoSecco took the time to listen to me explain my issue, she examined my teeth, and then she promptly and simply solved my problem. The pain had been so troublesome for so long I was seriously ready to have my tooth extracted. It's been over a year and a half now and haven't had a problem with that tooth since the day I saw Dr. LoSecco -- TG! I have been to their office three times since then and every time Dr. LoSecco and her whole staff have been caring, polite, and patient -- as well as they have given me excellent care. The dental hygienist is fantastic too; she's gentle and does a very nice job. They are the best -- no doubt about it."

"I am new to the Sarasota area and decided to utilize this business because they accepted my dental insurance. Since my insurance is super common, I made the mistake of assuming that the office I originally went to (Smile Sarasota) accepted it. I made the $200 mistake of going to the wrong practice, and to make matters worse, Smile Sarasota charges for your care upfront, then files to insurance and you EVENTUALLY receive a check in the mail of the difference. Who can afford that? I have worked in the medical field for decades and I have never heard of an office doing that. I found Dr. LoSecco and her staff to be really great and throrough in their explaination of what was going on. Dr. LoSecco noticed and pointed out to me a few more cavities than what the Dr at Smile Sarasota did, and she didn't feel like I needed a crown right away like the Dr at Smile Sarasota. Instead of thousands of dollars of dental work, my total bill after insurance is only going to be $98. I am going to continue to support this practice for as long as I am in the area. I am so gratefulto have found a really great dentist!"
