"I began taking my son to this office over 16 years ago, when I first moved to the area. Over the years, I’ve had two more babies and they’ve all seen Dr. Carola Fleener, the NP Lisa, and then Dr. Barbra Fleener(when she began practicing). My two youngest were both preemies, born at 26 & 28 weeks respectively. I love how thorough and knowledgeable everyone has been with providing excellent care for all three of my children. Dr. Carola Fleener is very straightforward and to the point and I LOVE that about her. I’ve always had a great experience no matter which provider cared for my children. This office, staff, and all medical providers are AMAZING."
"We met B Fleener when I was pregnant and she seemed like a great doctor to work with, then when we brought our new daughter in we saw C Fleener and did not like how she spoke about other patients, how she spoke to my mom instead of me (the mother) and how she openly told my mom she could call anytime and Dr C would give her medical info without my permission. We ended up finding a different pediatrician which is a bummer because we liked Barbra."
"To preface we drove 45 minutes from home because of the great reviews this place had- specifically for Dr. Barbara Fleener. Which is who we had a very thorough meet and greet with- we were very pleased with her and decided to choose them for our daughter’s pediatric care. Upon being discharged from the hospital- the pediatrician on call scheduled my “day after discharge” appointment with “Dr. Fleener”. Fast forward to our appointment- we get taken back to our room- there’s a girl with us asking questions and filling out paperwork. One of my daughters had began to cry- shortly after “Dr. Fleener” walks in the door. Except it was not the Dr. Fleener we had met with. It was Dr. Carolla Fleener, Dr. Barbara Fleener’s mother. I don’t believe she even said “hello” to us- then with the most unexpectedly STERN demeanor says “Do you know why that baby is crying?” She said “That’s a hunger cry. Can you please feed your baby?” It’s also worth mentioning that when she entered the room- a man followed behind her- who by his white cloak was identifiable as a medical student. At no point did she ask our permission for him to shadow our appointment, introduce him to us, or inform us he was a student. We had to inquire who he was- and then we kindly asked that he leave the room. While it was embarrassing enough to be spoken to in such a demeaning manner in front of everyone present in the room. It was an absolutely inappropriate display of behavior and unprofessionalism from a doctor who has ANOTHER medical professional shadowing them in order to gain knowledge and experience. Dr. Carolla was cold, insensitive, and demeaning. At one point during the appointment I was brought to tears- the lack of courtesy and respect we received are characteristics that no pediatrician should possess. And while encountering Dr. Carolla was the worst part of that appointment- it was also the most insightful because she is the doctor on call for the facility- so if there were to ever be an emergency she is the one who we would be dealing with. With all of this information- it was an easy and immediate decision we made to seek out another pediatrician. I would like to acknowledge that Dr. Carolla’s behavior and personality is only a reflection of herself and not one of her staff or coworkers. Most of the employees that work in the front office were friendly, informative, and helpful in my encounters and conversations with them. Lisa was wonderful to interact with. And Dr. Barbara Fleener was our driving factor in choosing this office. In our meeting with her she had a very warm personality, was kind, informative, made us feel respected, and seemed very passionate about pediatrics- all qualities we had expected and sought from a pediatrician. Dr. Carola Fleener is the downfall of this office."
"Leaving a 1 star because of one specific dr , C. Fleener. The most unprofessional and disrespectful human, she should not be allowed to work with children let alone even run a practice, multiple hipaa violations that I will be reporting. Everytime I’ve gone in there with my children she always wishes will ill upon them. She is uneducated, awful and uncaring towards children and parents. I hope everyone continues to speak up about this awful woman because it shouldn’t get unnoticed. I have nothing bad to say about dr. Barbara fleener she is amazing and a great dr."
"The providers are amazing. I love Dr. Barbara Fleener. But the front desk lady is always so rude. Every single time we come she gives attitude. Even if we ask her to do simple things like turn cartoons on for the kids. That’s why 3 stars."
