"Carolyn is a designer consignment shop owner 40+ years with over 7 stores in SanDiego and Naples. She only takes high end, designer items mostly with original tags from Chanel, LV, Gucci, Fendi, YSL, Dior, Hermes, Etro, Lafayette, Oscar De La Renta and Pucci to name a few. She treats her consignees with dignity, respect and allows them to decide whether or not to extend their contracts beyond the 3 month mark. She let me extend my contract every 3 months for 2 years. I was thrilled to receive a check after such a long time. Especially knowing I signed the contracts specifically stating after 3 months they were my responsibility, she wasn’t liable for my items or required to pay me anything. I have witnessed her professionalism with product knowledge, pricing, contractual liability and personal service. Her handbag inventory exceeds all other stores in quantity, quality and is astounding! I highly recommend her and appreciate the beautiful merchandise she offers for a fraction of the original price."
"Consignor beware for sure!!! Carolyn is a scam artist posing as a business owner. As mentioned in a previous review, she asked one of her consignors to leave their pieces with her beyond the 3 month window and then some of those items went "missing." I was also a victim of the same scam. When I checked in at the 3 month mark, she said my items hadn't sold yet but asked if I could leave them with her as she felt she could sell them in season. She never asked me to come back in to sign any kind of renewal or extension agreement and I trusted her at the time. When I checked back, she again asked for an extension and told me that 1 item was featured in her window. This continued for a year and a half with nothing sold whenever I checked in. When I finally decided that it was time to pick up my items, she said she was moving her store and couldn't locate everything because she had put many pieces into storage. I went to her relocated store twice thereafter (closed on both occasions) and then finally called and left a vm, stating that I'd been trying to pick up my pieces. When she returned my call, she YELLED at me, instructing me to READ my contract and that she wasn't responsible for returning anything to me because it was past the 90-day window! What an incredibly dishonest way to make money off of unsuspecting consumers. I hope either Karma or the police catch up with her."
"Carolyn, the owner is , is a sweetheart ! Have lots of laughs with her while I’m trying on her beautiful clothes she has in her store . Can’t wait to wear a dress I bought there for a wedding ."
"Be very careful consigning anything with her. The contract I signed was for 3mos. At the end of the period, I asked about taking back the items that had not sold. She said no problem, leave them here. She told me the same thing in March and June. I called in August, to see if she had sold anything else. So, I said I would come in and pick things up. She found 3 items but I am missing 3 items. She said that she gave my Jimmy Choo shoes to charity because I didn’t pick them up. I am missing a John Hardy and a Barry Brinker rings. She says she has a note that she returned them to me. I did not go into the store and didn’t receive them. She also never told me to go get them. Lost items valued over $2,500. Interesting that the one pair of Jimmy Choo shoes went to charity because it was over a year but she still had another pair of Jimmy Choo’s and two tops!!! Why weren’t they donated??? It was my mistake to trust her and to leave my items that hadn’t sold there. Consignor Beware!!! Don’t make the same mistake. Take your items elsewhere!!!"
