"My friend was abandoned be her husband with two girls and she hire Mr. Alvarez to represent her on her divorce process with the little she was left with. He started well charging what I consider was fair. After paid, he stop full communication with my friend. She requested specific things to be counter offered that he never added to the document. The last and worst of all was that he told her that if they went to court he will charge $1,500. He settle with none of my friend terms, not going into court. The husband (Mr. Valdez, a questionable realtor) of Mr. Alvarez Legal Assistant sold the house at an 11% commission and $7k in unneccessary improvements and other non disclosed charges paid to him. Based on these facts we were not very pleased with Mr. Alvarez practice that seems is for the money! Now she is homeless, dissable and the Lawyer do not want to reimburse her the $1.5k she was supposed to get back."
