"Popped in today (9/18/23). Was my first visit, and was pleasantly greeted. Very helpful owner steered me in the right direction to a few sticks. Great selection of cigars and left with a few to try. I'm a brit on holiday (vacation) and can't wait to return in a few days once my supplies have depleted. Excellent service and a great find, thanks!"
"I’ve been buying my tobacco and cigarette tubes from Low Ball Louie’s since I moved to FL in 2014, First on Semoran Blvd when I lived in Orlando, and now here in Davenport. Couldn’t ask for better customer service. All the employees are super friendly and very informative if you have any questions about anything. Definitely recommend!"
"Super nice gentleman working there, very nice atmosphere, lot of attention to detail! Was there like over 5 or 6 years ago and a lady there was very nasty , not only I didn’t buy a thing but never went back. Now I will return!"
"No complaints. This place has a nice selection of some premium sticks for a great price! $15 cigars - they have some of the cigars from the cigar aficionado 2021 top cigars list in stock. Location is easy enough to access. Strictly business style salesman but helpful. Took Amex. Good place for fairly priced well chosen sticks."
"I have a consistently uncomfortable buying experience at this place. I generally only stop in when I’m waiting for orders to ship from other vendors, and when I do, I feel as though browsing around is highly frowned upon as I am questioned as to what it is I am looking for. Generally speaking, I am looking for SOMETHING that I remember enjoying while waiting for orders from other vendors. They have a very limited selection of mostly smokes that I don’t enjoy on a regular basis, but I am usually able to find a “Cuban sandwich“ that will hold me over until orders ship from other vendors. Today was my fourth time going to Louies, and the first time I went there the shopkeeper made a slick remark about my propensity to browse. I brushed him off and gave him my money. The second time I walked in and tried to be as quick as possible because in that moment I DID know what I was buying (a “Cuban sandwich”). The third time was back to more awkwardness. However, I was armed with a witty retort when I was challenged on what I was looking for; “a cigar.” And today was the last straw. The owner, or shopkeeper, I cannot be sure of who the gentleman was, made it clear through his words and body language that he’d prefer that I not come in and browse in his shop anymore. I have heard his indirect request loudly and clearly, and will go to one of the hole in the wall areas around me for a quick “hold me over“ in the future."
