"Today I finalized the purchase of a new sliding door to my backyard. All went well until I was told that I was going to be charged $310 for a permit to install, from the city of Jacksonville, Florida. I balked at that incredibly excessive charge, which boarded on theft. I was told a man name Dan’s company handled getting the permits from the city. Guess he has a business called “ Extortion is us”. He handles all the Permits for Lowe’s in the area. I am shocked that Lowe’s would be a partner in this scam. As a consumer you can’t shop around for someone else to get the permit. You can’t go and get it yourself….. I will no longer deal with Lowe’s and their scam artist Dan. Lowe’s you don’t have the good sense to be embarrassed. Buyer Beware!!!!"
"I contracted Lowe's to install kitchen countertops. I was so excited to have finally saved up money to have it done. What a horror it ended up being with Lowe's unprofessional, horrible sub- contractors " STONE WORLD. " Since I had never done this type of home improvement, I wasn't aware that all parts of the project were not covered. For instance, once STONE WORLD removed my old countertops there was significant mold and water damage that they insisted was perfectly fine to be covered with my new $4,000 countertops. Really!?? I don't think so...and here's where the problem really begins. I went back to Lowe's to voice my concerns and ended up canceling the project. I was told by Christina that they had to bill me $120 because that work had been done. Lowe's ended up keeping over $400 of my hard earned money and refuses to this day to make things right even after me writing to their Corporate Office and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Be aware that they are no less than thieves in my opinion. You take a look at the mold and water damage and tell me, " Would you have been okay with that being left underneath your brand new countertops?" How sickening and disappointing. I will NEVER step foot in another Lowe's store again."
"My wife and I purchased a refrigerator from this location. Chris in the appliance department was awesome. We were in and out of the store in approximately 30 minutes. The fridge was delivered on the date and time scheduled, and the delivery and setup process was great."
"Originally ordered a John Deere riding mower from another location and it was out of stock so they pulled one from the Atlantic Blvd location and let me tell you it is not acceptable to send a used model when I paid $2400 for a brand new 2023 model. The delivery took almost two weeks to get my mower. The store told me that they only do deliveries in my area on Mondays (found out that is untrue).When it was finally delivered it was rolled into my driveway (red flag 1), I wasn't shown how to start it (red flag 2), the time on it said 2.8 hours a brand new one should have 0 hrs (red flag 3). It came with no instruction manual was very dirty and I was told if I have issues call the store (red flag 4 and 5). Due to the rain we didn't start it so the next day we did and guess what! The battery was dead! I went back to my original store and was told the Atlantic store takes used model and reservices and sells them back. My local store is trying to help but the delivery people have no clue what they are doing. I went to my Ag-Pro store told them my situation they got me a riding mower delivered immediately and showed me how to use it and it was clean and BRAND new just what I paid for. If you want to pay full price for used items then this is the place. I am so disappointed. Please see the pictures for reference"
"This is the saddest place for orchids. I have never seen such a neglect to these wonderful plants. It takes years to grow them just to be killed in this store by neglect. All it needs is protection from the sun ( they can’t be on a top shelves) and watering at least every other day. But it’s probably too much work for those who work there. Just a shame."
