"This is one of the neighborhood stores that I grew up with, I love the people that are keeping it operating. It's a great store, stop by and check it out ☺️"
"They have a variety of meats, but overall the store is expensive"
"Went in looking for Squirrel meat which they don't carry but they had Rabbit."
"Let's start with the fact that I'm from Memphis. I only mention this because I don't know if this is how things are done here in Florida. First off, to call this a meat market is a stretch. This is a "chop shop." Every cut of meat, except chicken, was cut up into smaller pieces (very small), instead of the whole piece or bigger pieces. The ribs... cut up! (even by the cases) The neckbones... cut up! Turkey necks... cut up! Hog maws ... cut up! The cuts are the smallest I've ever seen. They're overly priced, and I paid $6 for one pack of turkey medallions, yes medallions, because that's how it's cut up. There was actually a turkey neck and a half, cut up in that package at best. It was my first visit and last. Based off the reviews, I visited this place, but save your money and time. The best thing about this place was the "butcher" behind the counter. That's because he was very helpful in telling us which meat was which. The meat was frozen so hard and dark, at times we couldn't make out what was what. The cashier and I'm assuming the owner, watched us like we were about to snatch the meat and run. As a visitor, I wasn't impressed, Big Midget has big prices, and small meat. If all you need is a "little" meat to season something else and don't mid thr prices, this is your place. Otherwise, find somewhere else."
