Reviews
"The perfect place to shop!! Very large, clean and neat, huge selection and great pricing with helpful and courteous employees."
"Nestled within NAS Jacksonville, the commissary offers a delightful shopping experience for savvy consumers seeking quality and affordability. Boasting a vast expanse, this emporium stocks an array of fresh poultry, beef, and pork, including the exotic addition of bison, all at wallet-friendly prices reminiscent of Walmart's offerings. The produce and vegetable section stands as a verdant oasis, teeming with fresh fruits and vegetables, albeit with occasional price discrepancies. While not always the cheapest, the commitment to quality ensures a worthwhile selection. Notably, our penchant for PF Chang's frozen teriyaki chicken finds fulfillment here, with substantial savings compared to Publix. Dollar-conscious shoppers will rejoice at the commendably low prices of staples like Hot Pockets, a steal at $1.88 for a two-pack, undercutting competitors like Walmart. Moreover, the commodious layout houses an extensive inventory, though prudent comparison shopping remains sage advice for maximum savings. Beyond groceries, the commissary caters to plant enthusiasts with a well-curated indoor plant section, adding a touch of greenery to the shopping experience. For those preferring expedience, self-checkout stands as a convenient alternative, circumventing the need for tipping the dedicated helpers aiding with bagging and loading groceries. However, for patrons opting for personalized service, the helpers, although reliant on gratuities, ensure a seamless transition from aisle to car. In sum, NAS Jacksonville's commissary stands as a bastion of value and variety, beckoning frugal shoppers with its competitive prices and expansive selection, albeit with a prudent reminder to peruse prices judiciously. Whether seeking savings or savoring the shopping journey, this commissary offers a gratifying experience for all."
"Obviously, you need access, but this spot is huge. Pretty great selection of all sorts of food products, but it could model itself off of a Publix for the FL folks - but I get it. Great prices, but you gotta tip the bagger people. Lucky for me, they have a self check out. Stop by for the fresh French bread."
"I have no idea why would a commissary will be selling products that are about to expire like seriously this should be a place where all the product should be somewhat fresh almost all the salad are set to expire tomorrow on December 3rd 2023 today is December 2 fresh produce sure most of them are about to turn brown. There still a few product that will give you at least a week before they go bad but come on if I wasn’t paying attention I would have buy groceries that will go bad the next day. That how we are going to treat the men and woman that serve this country. Sad but true"
"The eggs have been bad. I have to go through normally 4 to 6 dozen cartons of eggs to find and make a good dozen. There are anywhere between one to three plus eggs cracked in almost every dozen. I don't understand how or why there are so many eggs that are damaged. I normally buy 4 dozen at a time. I really don't recall having this same problem at other grocery stores. I am not the only one who has had this problem. I think this may need looking into. The product loss must be in the negative."
