"We used this as a place to have a picnic. It's easy to access from both directions of the bridge. We enjoyed that the park was very clean. No surprise, but it's kind of loud because of proximity to the busy road. There were lots of people who enjoy feeding lots of birds."

"This park is a small spit of land at the base of the Caloosahatchee Bridge. It lies along the Caloosahatchee River making it a great spot for fishing but a free salt water fishing license is required. The parking here is also free. Lee County Parks & Recreation took over responsibility of the North Shore Bridge Access from the State of Florida in August of 1987. A pier was added to the park in 2000 which was paid for with proceeds from the three cent bed tax imposed on short-term tourist stays in Lee County. The park is home to the Edison Sailing Center which offers sailing and power boat safety lessons here. Note that although North Shore Park has a beach, swimming is not permitted. I enjoyed taking a walk on the trail that runs from the parking lot to the base of the bridge. You can get a stunning view of the river, especially at sunset."

"40 years ago my parents used to stop here and let us Swim. I enjoy being able to bring my grandchildren here even though they cannot swim here, they enjoy being close to the water. It could use a better bathroom, the Porta-Potty is better than nothing."
