Publix Super Market at Kings Lake Square

"I wanted to commend the employee that was working at the deli named Elvine…. He worked at around 3:00 time frame on January 24th at this store. He was in school, as he mentioned an exam he had taken. What a great asset to your store! My friend and I went in and had a rather complex order as we were ordering subs for 4 people for 2 days worth, all for our trip home going North and our spouses. He was amazingly patient and friendly and a true example of what any company would want in representing their company!! I can say this as a retired manager for FedEx. (35 years) Hopefully you have some sort of recognition program, and he is honored with such a recognition, he was such a wonderful young man, and what amazing man he was, his level of dedication and commitment to ensuring his customers receive the BEST possible service he can provide. "It is a worn out expression but they do run a tight ship here. The store is always immaculate, including the bathrooms, the employees are genuinely friendly and their service is great. This shopping center is very busy so be careful and patient finding a spot."

"Most all Publix stores r very nice looking, clean, organized, classy great products, great food, they have everything u need for food and cooking and the bakery+deli is the best, just stop and take a look at the bakery see through case yummmmmm!! You can also always find sales as well. The employees are always nice too."

"Poor management. Manager on duty was doing nothing but wandering. I asked him to check a lottery ticket. Twice he told me to wait for the cashier that had a line of people. 5 minutes later when she was done it took her a spit second to check the ticket. The lazy manager has no concept of customer service and has no business having a public service position."

"Publix is a pretty good place to shop. They have a good variety of items, they seem to have solid promotions, items are most often in stock, and I believe that the majority of the employees care and want to provide a good experience. While I am a fan of Whole Foods, Publix does a good job as an everyday supermarket offering some other hard goods and staples, such as furnace filters, school supplies, hats and shirts, cookware and other items. The issues I have seem to be pervasive at all of the Publix locations. As mentioned by other reviewers, the deli and prepared foods area is most often a terrible experience. There is no sense of urgency to serve customers, no sense of order, and certainly not any awareness that their pace of service is very very slow and lackadaisical. Frankly, I almost never order from the deli because it's an excursion into frustration. It does help that most Publix locations have a small case with pre-cut meats and cheeses so that you can pick up common items quickly. Unfortunately, once these are low on items, they are not refilled in a timely manner by the same lackadaisical employees working in the deli. I am very surprised that Publix doesn't see this as an issue and continues to offer and permit such poor service. On the few occasions where I have had to use customer service, they have been very responsive and helpful. I even sent a note to Publix corporate through their website and my comment and question was routed to the location at Kings Lake Square, and was addressed in a good way. Last, I think it's always convenient to have a liquor store attached to the grocery store in case I need something in that area."
