"Beautiful place and very peaceful! Highly recommend all-wheel-drive vehicle, or 4 x 4 if you don’t want to get stuck in the sand!"
"An easy, wide trail for a peaceful walk in Florida nature. We walked from the trailhead, past the sheltered bench, took a left at the fork until the path disappeared. We turned around and went back. My wife’s Apple Watch said it was a 4.4 mile round trip taking us an hour and five minutes to complete. It was an overcast, warm humid day. The only sign off the highway is a brown hikers emblem. Just a few parking spots, trail map and gate at the entrance. The scenery changes from a wide open vista to closed in vegetation with overhanging trees to being open again. Strangely, there were very few birds. We only saw two other people on a Wednesday morning. Worth the effort to find it, for a quiet hour."
"Beautiful area, well maintained. It was a challenge to find the different hiking trails. No maps at location. You download but I like paper maps. If your phone dies you'd still have a map. There were beautiful savannas, easy to walk. Lots if bullfrogs, a bald eagle and pleated woodpecker made the day."
"It's beautiful to walk on this trail, although the entrance does look sketchy and you do get some Friday the 13 vibes (it goes towards camp Huckleberry). But the walk is really nice, and it's a good way to exercise with a feel of adventure."
"I really liked hiking here. It was free so that's good. It was very quiet and I like that part. It had a beautiful section of Cypress swamp with lots of aquatic plants. It also has a vast expanse of scrub pine swamp. There were a couple of park benches sprinkled in it too. Good place for a hike."
