"Site 4 was quite nice 7,8 and 9 are better Excellent spot bathrooms have lots of soap, tp, and Hot water. Rough entry trail 10 rough after storms. Drive carefully coming in. You will love it there"
"Had an amazing time this past weekend for Halloween. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. Definitely will visit again. Picnic area and grounds was nice and clean."
"We normally stay at mutual mine which is very close but has no power. So we decided to try Holder mine, the campground is not very manicured and garbage dump area was full but bathroom were clean. Didn’t see the camp host till we went to complain about the noisy campers. The camp host site was the dirtiest nastiest campsite for a host that I’ve ever seen.. we probably won’t stay here again. We will go back to mutual mind very clean and quiet."
"This is one very peaceful campground! Not a lot of sites (maybe about 20) and they have lots of space around them. The trails are all pine flatwoods and in winter it's not particularly pretty. But this campground is so close to home and makes for a nice getaway."
"I just finished staying here, we spent 3 nights (Friday Afternoon - Monday Morning). The 27 Site Campground was nearly full on Saturday night, and nearly empty Sunday with only 8 sites filled. The reservation process was simple, and gives several discounts, Military Included. The Camground is down a limestone dirt road, that had a couple spots with several potholes and wash outs. But was passable with care in those areas. There is a Gate at the entrance guarded by a keypad, and Cell Coverage is very weak with AT&T - Verizon does better. so Write down your Gate Code before you get off the paved road or you may need to back track for service. Power was 50 or 30 Amp, and water had plenty of pressure. No Site Sewage, but a dump station on the left just after you pass the entrance only gate. The Restrooms are at the back of the campground, and the Men's room had 3 sinks, with hot & cold water, 1 Urinal, 2 Toilets, and 2 shower stalls. I never had to wait for restroom or showers. The grounds were well kept, except for a couple dog piles (yes dogs are allowed - leashed). Firewood was available near the Restrooms for a donation - but you'll need an axe to split it, only large OAK logs were there. we burned one whole, and it took 2 full days to burn. Fire Rings and Picnic Tables are at each site, a bit away from the parking pads. Speaking of - they are really solid, and I was on the largest in the campground, and not one crack. Trash building, is next to the exit gate, but requires a couple steps to get to the Flap/Door. So for those with disabilities, I suppose you would leave it next to the building, and the Ranger (who lives just in back of the Park), can take care of it when the make their rounds (which they do several times day and into the night). The Ranger also takes care of the Restrooms, which is where we met, and she was upbeat, and pleasant. You could tell she takes pride in her Campground."
