"Placed a service request 5 weeks ago, and was told at the time that they were backed up 1.5 weeks for service. Followed up 7 times since getting various run around stories from ‘the owner has the tickets’ to ‘there were more serious and urgent requests’ despite our pool being completely unusable. Finally, we were told they canceled the service order without reaching out to let us know because ‘there is another Pinch-a-Penny closer’. The store they are referencing is 11 miles away, same exact distance as this store; however, this store wanted an extra service charge to come out. I have driven the 11 miles regularly to this store to test water and buy products. Would not ever recommend this site for service needs as they do not value customers and have plenty of business without yours. I cannot recommend duplicating the experience we had as it was a waste of time and rude."

"I’d give them fewer stars if I could. Service is terrible. Showed up maybe 60% of the time at best to service the pool. When they did, quality of pool cleaning was poor with sediment and leaves left in the pool routinely. $140/month for poor/non-service is a joke. I don’t have time to check on them and call them to hear excuses for no-showing. They couldn’t even cancel our service correctly without screwing it up."

"You are better off doing the cleaning yourself. They used to be a reliable company but on the last few months they have not shown up when they are scheduled and I’ve have to call them every week to asked them to do their job. Every time I call they promise that they will do better and they don’t. I’m trying to cancel my contract and get a refund since they haven’t shown up but I have not been successful. I keep getting the run around. My advise is run away, save your money, get someone else."

"Pinch a Penny has been aweful and provides awful service. For the past 6 months our pool has been green and dirty. I’ve complained multiple times and the owner ignores my calls, hangs up on me, and fails to respond to my messages. I’ve had another pool company come to test my water and they said it appears that pinch a Penny is just dumping chemicals and the PH is extremely imbalanced. They said if we swam in our pool, our eyes and skin will burn. I’ve made many requests for the pool guys to come out and service our pool. I pay for vacuuming and they definitely don’t do it because there’s dirt, alage, and rocks building up in the bottom of our pool. See photos"
