Bluegreen Vacations Solara Surfside Resort

"It seems nice upon arrival, like all other Bluegreen vacations, but once you are there you see the reality of the scam and sham that is Bluegreen. The pool area is embarassing. This place is not handicapped accessible which I don't know how that is even possible. I had a stroller and we had to walk around to the back of the building in order to enter. Some of the staff is really rude. I was trying to enter the main door with my cart of luggage ( that is another thing there are only 4 carts for luggage and you can never get them) a woman who worked there saw me struggling but didn't offer to hold the door open. She was on her phone, I guess that is more important than guests at this location."

"We come here often and they have completed many nice repairs and updates, but was not happy with the new hot tub not working there during the entire visit. We pay a bunch in maintenance fees yearly with Bluegreen, and I tend to get rather upset when things aren't maintained or serviced properly. The new rubber coating on the entire outside deck is a very nice touch and much easier on the feet."

"Great location, right on the beach. Very helpful service too, including free beach chairs & umbrellas on the beach for guests and activities for families at the resort. Rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and have a full kitchen. For Bluegreen owners, this is the type of resort where they bought a hotel and converted it to a Bluegreen resort. That means the rooms aren't as big as the self-built resorts but they did well with it. Would definitely stay there again."

"Staff excellent. Valet parking is very nice. Too bad owners have to pay $20 a day for parking. The worst thing is the wifi. Almost impossible to work or watch a movie using the internet. The amenities are very nice including a pool table and air hockey Surfside is a much more layed back place than other parts of Miami. So the beach is awesome."
