"No regrets choosing this company to build our pool! I am delighted with the excellent customer service and the wide range of options presented. But wait, there's more! The after-care department is also top-notch, and Marlene Ortiz, the manager of the equipment repair team, is a valuable asset. With her vast knowledge and expertise, she ensures timely repairs and orders. Unlike others who disappear once they receive payment and forget about the customer, Marlene keeps the five-star service running."
"Fountain Blue built our pool a little over 2 years ago and we absolutely love it. Dorothy was our sales person, Chris was our construction manager and Desmond does our service. Desmond has been fantastic and takes amazing care of our pool. We only had issues with our lights which we are still working on but the service is fantastic and they are very efficient. Highly recommend this company on all aspects of the business!"
"Fountain Blue Pools built our pool 3 years ago and they continue to provide weekly cleaning service. We have experienced a number of serious problems within that time, some that were covered under warranty, some that were not. The worst and most expensive issue has been with severe water leaks. First of all, Fountain Blue does not provide a leak detection service, so if you suspect you have a leak, it’s necessary to hire a 3rd party leak detection company at a cost of $300 - $500, depending on which company you choose. Secondly, in August of 2022, we discovered a severe leak that was diagnosed by the leak detection company to be leaks with both of the main drains. At that time, our pool was barely 2 years old, but Fountain Blue refused to cover the repair. We paid them nearly $3,500 to repair a problem that should never happen with a 2 year old pool. Fast forward 12 months, our pool is now 3 years old and the same drains that we paid so much to have repaired last September are leaking again, except those drains are actually leaking even worse than they were a year ago. It was determined by the company we hired to fix it this time that the repairman from Fountain Blue last year did not use hydraulic cement to seal those drains. He only filled it with a thick layer of the topcoat, which is not strong enough to permanently prevent future leaks. For this repair, I had to pay another $2,500, which is $1,000 less than Fountain Blue charged me a year ago when they failed to fix the problem. Also, when the leak detection company was inspecting for leaks, they removed the spa drain cover and discovered a rusted-out screwdriver had been wedged down into the drain pipe (picture attached). How does something like that happen, and how did their quality control inspector not catch that before signing-off on the completion of our pool? Here’s the big problem I have with Fountain Blue. When I called them last week to explain what was going on with our pool, they told me that their repairs are warranted for only 30 DAYS! How can a company perform a $3,500 repair and then tell their customers they have to pay for that same repair again? It was a shock when their agent said that to me, but it was an even bigger shock to learn that the repair they charged me for last year was done on the cheap and had no chance to last. The person on the phone also didn’t care or even apologize for the screwdriver that they left in our spa drain. Customers need to know before hiring Fountain Blue to do their pool repairs that they do not stand behind their work, nor is the quality of their work what it should be. Net, net, we paid $3,500 last year to repair our main drains, $2,500 to another company this year to repair those same drains, $500 last year for leak detection, $400 this year for leak detection, $230 last year to refill our pool, and another $230 to refill our pool this year. That adds-up to a total expense of $7,360 for a problem that should never have happened in the first place if the pool had been built properly in the beginning. I cannot speak for all their customers, but these are the facts related to our experience. I’ll also be reporting the facts of our case to the BBB."
"Contracted Fountain Blue Pools to build a brand new swimming pool. I extensively researched which company to hire to build our pool & Overall, we’ve had an exceptional experience with them. Granted, there is no large construction project that goes without some hiccups & speed bumps but overall, every time I called Joanna to address an issue, get a resolution, or just a clarification, she was immediately responsive & attentive to our needs, even after hours. We are extremely happy with the outcome & have even hired them for weekly service moving forward!"
"My wife and I sought estimates from 4 companies for a new pool in late spring 2022. We learned about Fountain Blue from a friend and their family. We decided the process with Joanna. Joanna was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and personable. Compared to the other companies, she began with an open mind addressing our vision and any concerns all while working with our schedule. The design she generated was brilliant. After creating a design, she met with us to look at samples, was patient and thoughtful throughout and answered every question in detail and with honesty. She really is a quality person and absolute asset to Fountain Blue. The pool construction was at times problematic, which was mostly expected. The main issue we faced related to communication during the construction process. Communication could probably be improved as we experienced no reply or unanswered questions at times during the construction phase with the construction administration. This was disheartening at times since the whole process was new and at times overwhelming to us. Fortunately, Joanna remained available and clarified any concerns. The end result, the new pool, is beautiful and we could not be happier. Thank you Fountain Blue."
