"Average haircuts for what was a fair price. Basic haircuts are now $20. When you check out with a card, although you can select a custom tip, the "suggested" pre-populated amounts for tips start at $5 and increase from there. My last cut was done well. The previous cut was at a new to me location, which I will not visit again. Sections of hair were left longer than others on the back and sides and the front was so symmetrically rounded that it literally looked as if I used a bowl and cut it myself. I find that, on average, about 1 in 8 haircuts turn out unacceptable, and it doesn't take much to please me. With the price increase and feeling the pressure to tip big, with being put in the spot while the employee watches and waits, I'll probably look to other so-called low-priced chains when ready for my next haircut."
