"I hate writing bad reviews. I booked their team manager, Sunny in hopes of getting a good stylist. Swank seemed to have good reviews which is why I decided to try them out. Other than mixing my colors my stylist didn’t follow through with completing the job I booked her for- you pay for senior stylist for a better/faster experience- which I understand is probably her role to help others as she styles- however when someone is paying over $200 to get their brown hair turned browner and it’s their first visit at the salon, you would think the stylist would try to give a good first experience. Once the dye was done her assistant took over, and as sweet as she was- had zero sense of urgency. Thank god another assistant came to help her because she was blow trying an inch of hair at a time… The first sign that I wasn’t being taken seriously as a client (for whatever reason) was when I realized I had multiple missing hairs sticking out from the hair dye. My hair was a very warm/red brown and I was going blue/brown. It was very obvious to see the warm tones shining through- so I literally took my own finger and was pressing my hair into the dye- and when I realized how silly it was that me (the client) was trying to fix my own hair I turned around to tell Sunny about it. She fixed it and walked off, and didn’t return until the very end to say it looks goods.. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice it then but when I got into the actual daylight and got home my husband even mentioned how bad my roots were. I looked again, and they completely missed my roots- which were still a very warm brown and the rest of my hair nearly black (which was what I asked her NOT to do- was turn my hair black) Either way- I nicely called back and said I noticed the mistakes and here’s the part that really made me want to write this review - The front desk person 1. Didn’t apologize 2. Didn’t say let’s find out what we can do 3. She said unfortunately sunny doesn’t have time to fix this today- which beats me bc I didn’t think from her time w me she has any real time put aside for her clients and just lingered around a room…. 4. Sunny didn’t even get on the phone to acknowledge her lack of attention to detail or apologize for her mistakes. The next day I arrive to another women who helped fix my roots- the good news she fixed the warm brown roots I had. The bad news- I walk in- no one warmly greets me or looked at the top of my head and acknowledged the botched dye job….the best part was that after alll the time wasted of driving back and forth to get brown hair fixed… and going back a second time- the second lady who “fixed” my hair, didn’t clean up my hairline before she put me under the heater. So yes, I had a wonderful dark hairline I got to take home w me. Super disappointed…especially since the first time I walked into Swank, the manager greeted me so kindly- and the reviews looked so nice. The worst part about this is the fact that Sunny did not make me feel important as a new customer. No one was apologetic. And after a very careless mistake, no one took ownership or apologized. So after $210 plus a 20% tip and another $10 tip to the second girl who fixed my hair- I have now at least have all the same hair color…. I truly regret ever coming here…wouldn’t recommend."
