Freedom Playground, our ADA accessible playground located at MacFarlane Park, features a state-of-the-art design spanning over 10,000 square feet. It offers a variety of play pieces that cater to children with physical, cognitive, sensory, and neuro-diverse abilities, including wheelchair-accessible options. Additionally, we have two picnic shelters available for private functions located next to the playground.
In order to ensure a positive experience for all visitors, we have created Autism Friendly Experience Stories in collaboration with C.A.R.D. These resources are intended to help parents, teachers, and caregivers prepare individuals with autism for their visit to our park or facility. "It is a very good place and the concept, is to inspect repellent when you go in the evening time, due to the bushes around there are a lot of insects in the play area, 10+ activities for children wheel chair friendly, kids can get refreshed with mist after play and toilets available onsite."
"This is such a nice, accessible park for all ages! My toddler enjoyed it very much. There is a covering over the park to provide shade from the sun. The bathroom was clean too which is important. I definitely will be a regular at this park."
