"We prayed and sang praises songs by the steps to the Skyway. This is a very open area. There was music playing as we came through. It was loud and overbearing. People were sitting in an area that has been set up for eating and enjoying the day. Children can run around, and there is lots of space. There are shade trees all around the area. It is in a good location to have access to different businesses as well."
"Nice small park in the middle of downtown. They usually have something going on here, but even when not, it's usually pretty clean and well kept"
"Took an afternoon stroll on a warm afternoon here. It was a Sunday and there was plenty of parking. The meters were easy to do. Be sure to have quarters. A slight breeze was blowing and we saw some people also enjoying the sun shine. The park is clean and showcased a variety of sculptures, artist work around the grounds and on sides of nearby buildings. A musician was playing his horn just off the path and added a nice touch to the ambiance of the place. The grass is maintained and trees trimmed. Loved a cobblestone brick road leading off to one of the buildings close by. Take a walk to the nearby MOCA Jacksonville, A Cultural Institute of UNF. Located near City Hall, so if you have a need to be there, take a breather at the Park."
"I go the First Wednesday Art Walks. There are so many very cool artists booths setup there. It's like the night that the park comes alive with Art, Crafts, Food vendors and so much more. I always buy the handmade Art. The moons on the Owl sculptures wall hangings glow in the dark... sooo cool!"
"The park is conveniently located near City Hall and the MOCA museum, making it a great spot for visitors to these areas. Personally, I often visit the park when attending city hall meetings. Although not particularly spacious, it's a quiet and pleasant place to relax, particularly after business hours. Visitors should be aware that public restrooms and street parking can be difficult to find, but there is a nearby parking garage and a skyway that drops off right at the park. Additionally, there are many great dining options within a few blocks of the park."
