Gifford Arboretum

"Small park on the UM campus. Peaceful, tranquil, dog-friendly ( on-leash !! ). If you need a break from the noise and bustle of south Florida, head here. Easy to find, alot of parking ( it was free when we went ), and short trails to walk around. Wheelchair accessible. Numerous plants shrubs bushes and trees from around the world, including a community sustainable garden. And the abundant and different flowers are amazing."

"Beautiful little spot, interesting, with a lot of exotic plants from over the world. It has enough shade and you can walk also around the beautiful University campus right there.We found plenty of parking. Insect repellent it’s a must specially on summer time."

"Fun small arboretum to browse, be careful of mosquitoes. Parking is not free if you don’t have a permit for UM."

"Nice quiet place to walk around or sit in a bench. Pay-by-phone parking is available, on the right, as soon as you get in. You can take your dog, too."
