"Room was a bit small, not a big deal tho. The hotel itself I will say had wonderful staff. They were polite and responsive at all times which I am thankful for. My problem is mostly the room, pool and location. The pool wasn’t bad but it wasn’t heated which would have been a plus. The room was nice at first when I walked in and seen my name on the tv as a welcome. Problem was the room was a bit small for my liking but it wasn’t a big deal. My real problem was the bathroom. First, the shampoo and conditioner were finished. Makes me wonder if they clean the bathroom thoroughly because the bottles are right there empty. My second problem was it had a nasty smell of dirty mop water. I guess they did clean the bathroom because it looked clean but they didn’t use any fresh water because the amount of times I gagged walking into that bathroom was just not ok. The location is not bad per se but it’s not great either. It’s not far from a little shopping center and it’s literally a 5 min drive to the mall. However if you open the window expecting a view, you will get nothing but emptiness and construction all around. The last thing that bothered me is as I was leaving they printed me out a bill of $50 worth of dining that I did not use. That really disturbed me because I was only there for 2 nights, the only place in the hotel I went other than the room was the pool and I was getting charged? I get mistakes happen but wow if I didn’t ask for a print out would I have been surprised. Something like this the hotel needs to stay on top of. I was charged $13 after I left although I only used the coffee and water that was in the room that had a $6 sign on it but I wasn’t going to complain about $5-$7, the dining that I did not go to tho yes I made sure they were aware that wasn’t me."
"We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 AM after getting off our cruise. We asked if our room happened to be ready even though we were early and we were told it was not ready but it would be ready no later than 4:00 PM which was check in time. We ran some errands and came back around 3:00 PM to check again and was told the room was still not ready. We were told no later than 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM we went down to the desk and check in. The person behind the desk told us our room was still not ready due to “manager inspections” even though I had seen multiple other people checking into their rooms. 4:30 PM our room was still not ready and asking again we were told management was talking to house keeping to expedite. Just before 5:00 PM our room was finally ready. We were given an extra $30 for food. After we got into the room the first thing we noticed that the door did not automatically close and if you didn’t physically push it shut it didn’t latch. When we went to use the bathroom the bathroom door didn’t latch either. Whatever type of cleaning supplies they used left the floors super sticky. For the room going through a manager inspection it was not very clean. Running a finger along the top of the tvs found a thick layer of dust. Our bathroom window did not have a shade or anything for privacy and there was a walkable roof right outside. When we called to order our food I was told it would be a $5 fee to walk it 25 ft down the hallway on the same floor (menus didn’t say anything about this) Even with the extra $30 for food we still had to pay out of pocket. The food was alright. The wings were dry and they were out of buffalo sauce. We asked for BBQ sauce on the side and didn’t receive it. They added a nice 20% auto gratuity on the bill. Since our travel agent booked the room for us her credit card was in file. When we were leaving we went to the front desk to pay for our food that we ate. The front desk was unable to change credit cards due to a maintenance issue. We asked for a printed receipt to verify all charges which she also could not provide us. We asked if she had some large trash bags to cover our luggage due to the light rain and she looked and found some tiny trash bags and when we asked about larger ones she just kind of shrugged and said house keeping has those but they are not here. Overall not a great experience for a so called 4 star hotel. Would not recommend."
"This is one of my favorite hotels in Aventura. It was my first time but I will be staying again. Kenley at the front desk was amazing he made sure I was comfortable and took very good care of my family. We saw him several times within the hotel and always asked was there anything he could do for us"
"Great venue for business traveller's also if you're traveling with family, my kids enjoyed the swimming pool area, which had a table tennis board and a pool table. Food is on the more expensive side but the rooms were great, nice and spacious, very clean, the only drawback was when we used the shower the water seeped outside into the toilet area, we had to lay down a few towels to use the toilet after taking showers, maybe it was only that one specific room (room 911). Not a lot to do in the area, beaches are a 15min drive but the water was very rough when we went. All in all it was a great hotel to stay at for a couple days."
