"As Marriott timeshare owners in Hawaii, we traded our points to stay here for two nights to see how it was. The villa is nice and roomy. The water was yellow, especially coming out of the bathtub. If you ran the jets, it exuded a jelly like Substance. We asked for a room that we would get a view of the ocean, but we were over the parking lot where they did sawing and other construction. The tiki bar is expensive bar food. We asked for an 11 o’clock check out and the housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10:05. Ocean was rough when we were there and impossible to get in to the waves. Pools were heated nicely"
"Ocean Pointe never disappoints! Spacious, clean, gorgeous rooms with views of the ocean. The grounds and 3 pools are lush with blooming shrubs, palm trees and porch swings. Lots of resort activities, close to the marina and restaurants. Wonderful place to visit!"
"If u are looking to go to a retirement resort then this place is for u if I could give 0 stars I would on this horrible racist resort if u want horrible service then this is the place for you! I mean we paid The same price like everybody else we did not get no special deal! But if you’re not extremely white or black, you’re not wanted here in my life, I never experienced a horrible stay like this one we are currently still here checking out Wednesday, 17 January and we are counting down the hours to leave from this hotel or resort. Whatever it’s called. The advertisement is so fake. it’s all senior citizens if you’re looking for unforgettable getaway, do not come here again, I have never experience this at any hotel or resort in my life and we stay at very high-end hotels and resorts. I went to order coffee it says Starbucks on the sign. But yet when I walked in nothing showed Starbucks so I asked, are you still serving Starbucks and the lady goes no we’re not as of now I didn’t say anything I said OK I would like to order a coffee whatever if it’s not Starbucks, it’s not that big of a deal Well I stood there in line 8 minutes while she took everybody else’s order even though I tried to order coffee, she would not serve me because I asked a question about Starbucks coffee then we were in the swimming area and a black man came to us and tell us you have to get out of the pool for maintenance but there is a black lady there that he is not saying anything to. We had to tell him excuse me sir there’s another lady here we’re not the only people because he would not walk over and tell her what he told us to get out of the pool, there’s so much more to say I just can’t believe how horrible our experience is here Instead of enjoying the resort, we stood the whole day out the room, not anywhere on resort ground, just not to see the people because we’re so fed up of the guest and the staff The front desk she was very wonderful. She felt bad for us."
"Do not book an oceanfront room not worth it for what you get unless you get a high floor which is never available unless you bought into the timeshare. My view was of parking lot and the bar area. I had to go front desk and say you sure this is considered oceanfront. They state because it’s on the front. They need to update these bottom levels as resort view or no view because you really can’t see a thing. And the noise was so loud from AC or whatever I just left and stayed at another hotel. For price point it’s not worth it to me and sadly I will not book here again. I have stayed in past and same issue last time. Rooms just don’t match up to oceanfront. If you’re looking for lots of activities for kids or just beach it’s great but just don’t book oceanfront."
"This is a newer resort in the area with multiple buildings all on the beach. We were in Dolphin located right next to the check-in and that central location was very nice. Room was OK - bed mattress was firm which was hard on me (as a side sleeper) so I actually started sleeping on the couch instead. Bathroom was fine with huge bathtub for two and a shower that would fit three. Trim is old and poorly done, though, and the shower leaked water on to the floor. On-site restaurant might have been good, but service was pretty bad, including the time we ordered a dessert (don't bother with the key lime pie here) and they forgot to text us when it was ready. Exercise center is good and well equipped, staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly, pools are very clean and warm, hot tubs are thoughtfully designed so a dozen or more people can be in them without being in each others' faces, pretty kid friendly site. Beach is right there and nice but the sand is a bit coarse and steep making it hard to walk at times. Luckily the ocean is so warm (80 degrees in December!) that we could just walk in the waves. Overall, we had a great time and will likely come back again."
