La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sunrise Sawgrass Mills

"Do yourself a favor, and make sure you book the La Quinta literally 400 feet across the street that is renovated and not this one. I don’t understand what La Quinta has against advertising that one, it’s actually nice looking yet at the time of this review all the photos and website online show the dated version. This hotel is actually motel or Super 8 quality and we were really dissatisfied staying here. Having stayed at other La Quintas in Florida, we were shocked at the condition on this location and blatant deception of the pictures advertised. We were moved THREE times because the rooms smelled of mold and toxic cleaning products simultaneously. The hallways are gross with stained carpets. The bathrooms were leaky, musty, rust and floors dirty. Broken walls, dusty furniture. The only thing I was glad to see was Dove toiletries. We stayed 4 nights and weren’t bothered once for house keeping. They don’t have privacy signs for the doors. The breakfast was as low grade as you can get. Eggs in patty form, waffles, coffee and bagels. The rooms haven’t been renovated since the late 90’s or early 2000’s other than the decent TV. Wifi wasn’t great but usable just real slow. Didn’t use the pool. Not inviting"

"We booked a room in la quinta for one day to go to sawgrass. The location for that is perfect, the room was huge and since we had a lot of luggage that was a big advantage. We booked a suite it think this is why ot was bigger. The people in the reception desk was friendly and althoug when we arrived in the morning our room was not ready they offer us a place to leave our luggage rigth away. Breakfast is ok to grab a quick bite but do not expect anything out of the ordinary. At the time we went downstairs to get breakfast the place was full of people and it was impossible to get a table. Summary: if you want to go to sawgrass, be close to the mall in a clean hotel that does not charges for parking and it is afordable given the prices in the miami area, this is a good option. It is defimetibely not in my opinion an alternative to stay for a long vacation."

"We needed a hotel close to Cleveland Clinic and it was great for that . Initially we mistook it for its more upmarket sister hotel next door. Very good location - close to Sawgrass too. Pleasant staff. A minimal, very busy free breakfast but good to have the choice. Overall a pleasant stay. We would go back again."

"First off there is no way this is a 3 star hotel. The location of this hotel is great but that's about it. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom needs major attention as you can see in the photos. There was mold/mildew on the walls around the bathroom door. The tub was discolored. You could get hot water at the sink but in the shower it was warm at best. There was trash at the bottom of the stairway. Stairs that you have to use because the elevator doesn't work. The trash dumpsters were overflowing with trash. Needless to say, we will not be staying laquinta again."

"My husband and I booked this hotel for one night as it was close to an appointment we had the next morning. Even if you’re just staying for one night, spend a little more and get yourself a decent hotel. This hotel is extremely outdated and dirty. The entire hotel smelled musty and moldy. The carpets in the hallways leading to the rooms look and smell like they’ve never been cleaned before. Our bathroom had visible mold in it. The bed sheets were stained in multiple places. The bed skirt was covered in some kind of oily substance. And if after that, you trust their complementary breakfast, it basically consists of egg patties, Raisin Bran cereal, plain bagels, and a waffle maker. We could not get out of this hotel fast enough."
