"I rated this hotel a 1 star because I couldn’t select anything lower. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. We had a family emergency and needed a room for the weekend. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had and one of the most disgusting rooms. Had my room changed twice because the sofa bed we had in the so call suite had stains and nasty. The toilet also didn’t flush and the bathroom sink clogged. The front door key didn’t work and front desk tell him that she’ll be right over because there’s a trick she does to get the door open. The owners of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves of the type of conditions this hotel is in. For the amount of money we was spending. Everyone needs to stay away from this hotel until some changes, upgrades or improvements have been made. La Quinta, Wyndham this is a dump. Stay away."
"Don´t go!! I stayed just for one night since we were going from orlando to miami and wanted to do some shopping at sawgrass, usually La Quinta is a nice place but this was terrible, the rooms are outdated, rugs have horrible stains, all furniture is dirty and looks like they picked them up from the street. We arrived late and they told us that there was no elevator, we were a large group so there were many big suitcases that we had to carry using the stairs, after that one room had to use the sofa to sleep, it looked terrible and there were no blankets or pillows so they gave us more sheets and apologized for the inconvenience. after a night I thought would end terrible I went downstairs to see the breakfast area which was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking space is free and they say there is wifi I did not try it. Overall the experience was pretty bad, this hotel needs urgent renovation."
"I had just completed the La Quinta customer satisfaction survey and they asked me to provide a Google Review so I figured I would do my part. This review is based on my opinion and experience. I personally would not stay at this hotel again and would be hesitant to stay at the La Quinta chain based on this hotel and the response I received from the corporate office about my issues. We arrived at the hotel and the front desk clerk was locked out of the check-in desk and mentioned that they had electrical problems. We were then informed that the elevator wasn't working and that the only available room was on the fourth floor. I later found out that it had been out of service for a week. If your hotel knows that the elevator isn't working it's incumbent upon you to notify guests staying about the first floor to make sure that's okay with them. I'm a disabled veteran with physical issues that make stairs a challenge for me. We figured it was one night before we headed off for the balance of our vacation. When we got to the room we realized the air conditioner was making a loud noise that was very disturbing but we knew there were no other options of rooms. The toilet didn't flush properly we had to figure out the steps to do it. The refrigerator door needed to be tweaked to be able to get it to actually close. The electrical outlet near the bed, where I was plugging in my CPAP wasn't properly connected and the bedside lights were going on and off. Some of the light switches needed to be pushed a certain way to be able to work. The sofa bed had a stain which is shown in the picture, which could be a potential biohazard issue. I requested a blanket to be used with the sofa bed and was told that there was none available. The room was booked for four people so it should've been clear that the sofa bed would be used as the beds would barely accommodate two people. The shower water pressure and hot water were also lacking. I submitted a complaint to the corporate office and they only partially addressed the elevator issue and totally ignored the rest of my issues about the lack of maintenance. They've since ignored me but they were considerate enough to ask me to complete a survey and do a review. If you're fleeing from a situation then this hotel could meet your needs or if you really don't care what you get for close to $200 then this could be for you. For someone who would like standard maintenance and cleanliness I would personally look elsewhere. EDIT: After posting the review and replying once again to local management and to the corporate office I did finally receive a reply that I would receive a partial refund for the hotel stay. The actions and response of the company is not enough for me to change my opinion of La Quinta at this time."
"Avoid this awful hotel at all cost! It does not reflect pride of ownership at all. The whole place needs to be condemned for mold as the whole hotel reeks of black mold. It needs to be renovated here and sanitized. The paint was peeling in the tub. The breakfast tables indoors were always dirty and a variety of breakfast items wasn't there. The maid didn't show up at all on our first day even after we told her manager after just seeing her in the hallway that we 'd need towels and the garbage taken out as we had ordered pizza the night before. I had to clean the room upon returning later that night so I went to the front desk and had Stefan deal with the garbage can as I needed it emptied and washed. The bed wasn't made. The room needed vacuuming and dusting badly. Surfaces needed to be washed, wiped, and sanitized. Some weird smelling liquid was in the garbage pail that had nothing to do with us. He returned it emptied and washed and dried outside our door. It was on the way to telling our next door room to lower their loud music which went on for hours at night in addition to a dog barking down the hall. Not a relaxing place! Outside, the sun umbrella was covered in green mold. The elevator was out of service for most of our stay and didn't sound like it would move or let you out when it did appear to work the few times in the beginning of our stay. We were on the second floor with lots of luggage. Beware the surroundings as although it is close to the fancy Sawgrass Mills, I was told a lot of homeless people come around the area to sleep as there are no lights by the highway and green area. On a few positive notes, the worker, Rene, was very helpful, kind, and understanding. She even upon asking, opened the back door to the pool area to let me sit there for breakfast. She wiped down as best she could the chair and table and even placed down towels on the chair for me. The towels and sheets were clean. The hotel is close to the airport and dinner spots. This location has so much potential and could be a wonderful place to stay if only the owners would fix all the serious issues and hire more people like Rene."
"HEALTH HAZARD do NOT COME HERE! The rooms are FULL OF BLACK MOLD, the hallways, rooms, lobby and all carpets are WET and smell of urine and something else awful. I am now incredibly concerned about bed bugs and roaches. I don’t think this place has ever been cleaned. The bathroom is covered in mold, mildew, hair, etc. I woke up with what I HOPE are hives all over my body. Turn on any water and the pipes rattle so loudly you’d think someone was using a concrete drill beside your head. The small baby travelling with us has gotten so sick we have had to take him to the ER because of the mold and mildew, he likely has mold toxicity. I feel horrible for the staff working there as they are incredibly apologetic and have no support from the management/ownership. Renee deserves a much better job at a much better hotel, she wanted to help but had no tools or resources to do so. The manager/owner straight up lied to our faces multiple times (said he wasn’t the owner, there was nothing he could do, etc) and trying to get reimbursed in any way is like war. The wifi barely works and and soon as you step foot in this hotel you will have zero cell service, like a haunted curse hanging over this place. All other bad reviews are incredibly true and even if it was $1 a night this place wouldn’t be worth it. There’s blood, snot, and other creepy bodily fluids on everything and the air conditioner filters were full of mold that I washed out myself in the bathtub. Room doors do not lock, and the front door to the public does not lock. I got locked into the bathroom for 15 minutes because of a broken handle and ill fitting door, I had to body-check the door to finally get out. Everything is in horrible disrepair. Seriously considered sleeping outside on a bench instead of coming back inside. Do not trust the good reviews which I think are fake and planted by the owner. I will be reporting this hotel to the health department."
