Parrot Beach Cottages 60 Avenida Veneccia, Siesta Key, FL 34242

"The Good: awesome location, mere steps from the beach. The Bad: the keypad on the door did not work. I ended up struggling with the lock box for 5 minutes to extract the keys. Got into the place, it looks fairly clean and nice enough. However when trying to close the blinds in the living room, facing the street, I found them broken and unable to close all the way. I immediately notified guest services. They thanked me for my response. They asked if I would like the local team to fix it, I answered in the affirmative. No one came to fix them. I was told maintenance would be out as soon as possible...but not today. When I got back from the beach, I decided to relax and watch some television, however the television will not turn on, although the cable box will. I contacted guest services again and began receiving instructions on how to reset the television and unplug and replug all the devices. I am not a technician, and I am not maintenance. This is not my job. These items should be working prior to my check-in. The I was told that I should search for other remotes. There was one other remote, with no batteries. The Ugly: after multiple texts back and forth, I was told that maintenance already knew about the broken blinds. Then they offered their sincerest apologies. For the rate this one bedroom is going for, (two nights for $198, fees of $232, and $57 in taxes) everything, absolutely everything should be in working order! If that is not enough, guest services completely stopped responding to my messages! (Interesting business practice) I have asked for the contact information of a manager and have been completely ignored. Clearly, this is all about the rental income, and not about the your (the guest's) experience. I wish I would have read the most recent reviews before I booked this space. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Spend your hard-earned dollars elsewhere. DO NOT rent here!!! (May 7-9 2023)"

"Let's start off with the positive. This place location wise is PERFECT, literally steps to the beach and very close to "the village" This place has potential to be great, the negative: the smell (very old and musty) had to go buy air freshners to even be able to stay here. There was stuff falling off of the ceiling/walls we having to constantly sweep (black speckled stuff). Moldy blinds, rust and dust on vents.  Towels/bedding did not smell good. We have decided to leave early since we simply are not having the best time and would rather be home. We were attempting on our last day to go out to the beach and our lock on our door would not lock, the key would not go in to even lock it. We were stuck just sitting in our room waiting to get ahold of someone. (THANK GOD FOR THE HOUSEKEEPER that was on site who actually attempted to help us and actually resolve the situation. People next door also said they were having trouble getting in as well) Multiple factors here did not let us sit back and enjoy out vacation. Do not waste your hard earned money here we were super disappointed."

"Stayed in suite 1 this past weekend. At first glance, it looked nice. After a little time, we noticed the accumulation of dust on the a/c units - resulting in allergy attacks. Rust on the shampoo/condition/soap holder in the shower. Dirt along the sideboards. Worst was when I pulled back the sheets at the end of our stay and saw the stains. I cried to think I had slept on that. I have pictures to prove all of this and more. I would never recommend to anyone."

"Stayed there sept 6th 2020, a great location. The price was great compared to all around. It sets right behind a house that is beachfront. We stayed in the upstairs with kitchen living room bedroom and bath. Very clean and modern.Brad the owner was able to get us in earlier than what was listed since our plane landed early. Within walking distance of many many things going on in Siesta. Was hoping to stay again this year but our dates are booked up. Go you won't be disappointed."

"We've been coming to Siesta Key for years, and this was a great find for us this trip. The location is perfect: 1 minute walk to Beach Access 2, and a 5 minute walk into the village. The rooms are clean and recently renovated, with everything you could need in them. By far, the best part is the owner, Brad. We planned our latest trip (sort-of) at the last minute, and when we first arrived in Siesta Key had some minor issues with our room. Throughout the whole process, Brad was patient, understanding, easy to get a hold of, and did everything he could to accommodate us and quickly fix any problems, definitely going above and beyond any expectations! I can't say enough good things about this place and it's owner! Parrot Beach Cottages is a hidden gem in the village of Siesta Key, and we will definitely be coming back!"
