"Gorgeous place, but for the price the rooms should be perfectly clean and instead it was more like a motel. Clumps of long hair on the shower wall that I discovered my first day suggest it wasn't cleaned thoroughly between guests.... And the reason I'm writing the review is that I tried to keep it low-key by just calling the front desk to mention the hair and ask that they be more thorough the next day, but after 4 nights' stay they're still there in the exact same place, still not cleaned. Other, smaller issues suggesting lack of care with cleaning were: a big smear of someone else's makeup on one of the robes, dried toothpaste (mine, at least) still on the sink from the day before, and a security issue: my friend next door came back to find her door ajar after cleaning, probably for hours. Otherwise, gorgeous property and we got nothing but warm welcomes and assistance from staff (other than housekeeping, I guess). Also, don't stay on the first floor if you want quiet."
"This hotel was very nice the room was a little bit tiny tho but it was okay for my family. We have 4 people and we were just fine the service was good too they brought all our bags to our hotel for us. Its so good that we were able to walk to the beach from the hotel so easily and we had a very good veiw of the beach from our hotel room. The hotel smells very good and looks very nice, when you walk in people hold the door open for you and everyone working there are all so pleasant. I woukd definitely come back here"
"My date night at the Don Cesar Hotel in St. Pete was enchanting. The lobby bar's live music set a romantic ambiance, perfectly complementing our pre-dinner drinks. The drink selection was superb, featuring everything from classic cocktails to unique creations, all expertly crafted by skilled bartenders. What really set the experience apart was the outstanding service; staff were attentive, ensuring our evening was flawless without being overbearing. The Don Cesar's rich history and stunning architecture added to the luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The Don Cesar Hotel bar is a St. Pete treasure, ideal for anyone seeking an elevated evening out with exceptional drinks, service, and ambiance. It's a perfect spot for a memorable date night or a special celebration."
"The hotel offers a unique experience with some history. There are some on-site shops, restaurants, and bars. You can enjoy two beachside pools, gym, workout room, spa, and more. The rooms are okay (older with remodels). In some rooms you may be (lucky) enough to try the side-saddle toilets... (super close to the walls). The beach is lovely and you can easily find your way back to the hotel. You can also walk through the neighborhood."
"In our opinion, it was an expensive hotel for what you get. We tried to do the advertised beach yoga only to be told the instructor did not show up. Also, the housekeeper came into our room at 545 pm one night to change the sheets while we were there. Awkward! In our opinion, the bathroom was tiny (and we were told the room was an upgrade when we arrived). So tiny you could not put both seat covers up without one falling down. There was also long term bathroom grime. Everything appeared old. In our opinion, the beach chairs were pretty old and bare bones, and for such a fancy place they could invest in better outdoor furniture. Cigarettes burns on the patio area loungers. Bar food was ok. The outdoor wait staff team on the beach was awesome. Kirsten was terrific and Brandon was great as well...Positive points. For one day there was an awful sewer smell in the elevators. Very unpleasant. Not something we would have expected. Previous room occupant trash was left outside the room when we arrived. It was there for one day. Only one bathrobe was available for a couple in a room for two. If you understand the value of your money then you might be disappointed. We expected better."
