"This is our 2nd visit to the Sirata. First, a big shout out to Sarah at the front desk! Amazing customer service. All of the staff were wonderful from the front desk to the bartenders, cleaning and servers. All were friendly and helpful. Love the events that they plan, especially at the pool area….play bingo for free drinks! The live music every night has been fantastic. Really talented artists. We had one issue, the TV didn’t work. They sent someone immediately but he couldn’t fix it. We went to the beach and when we came back it was fixed! Now the rooms….this resort is older so there are some minor issues but the plus side, maintenance was going on all around us. The toilet kept running but again, minor issue. We had an ocean view suite and the view is amazing….take your drink out on the patio and watch the sunset. The pools and bar areas are so much fun. Hopefully they continue with upgrades….we will be back again"

"We were there for a celebration of life honoring the loss off my sister. The staff were amazing, kind and compassionate. Luisa set our family up with a cabana so we could have a private moment. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone here could not have treated us better. Thank you my friends! I'll never forget it."

"I'm going to be as honest as I can and as thorough as I can, while also being fair. If google would give the options for half stars I'd give the Sirata a 2.5-star rating. Let me get into the meat of why that is. We stayed here for 5 days in between Christmas and New Years Day. The Good - the staff, top to bottom was very friendly, nice, and what you would expect. They are the reason why I'm splitting this review up because I think too often staff get a hard time when they do indeed have a very difficult job that most of us couldn't do with a smile on our faces. The location was also great. Easy to get to from Tampa and sitting right on the beach is extremely valuable. Resort was very walkable and honestly had a lot of nice things about it. The Bad - my biggest issue with this specific resort is the "nickel and diming" that occurs your entire stay. Everyone expects the room fee and resulting taxes. What I felt was absurd was the straight off the top $40 "resort fee" and $25 parking fee for each day of your stay. Forcing guests to pay $65 per day of their stay is a bit absurd for almost nothing. Most hotels you stay at don't charge their guests to park. So you're being immediately ripped off. Then they charge you the "resort fee" which is a charge for things that most beach hotels include for free as a benefit of you staying there. Then you get to the beach. You're staying at a resort and you've travelled a long way, surely you can enjoy sitting on the beach in a decent set of chairs that you weren't able to bring along, free of charge, right? Wrong. If you want to rent 1 chair....1...it's $15+tax+fee+gratuity so that $15 chair now cost you over $18...every single day you want to go to the beach. Multiply that by every chair you need for your family. If you want an umbrella, same $18 every day. So if you're a family of 4 you can expect to spend > $70/day just to be able to comfortably sitting on the beach and get a small amount of shade...at the resort you already paid to be staying at with a $40 resort fee. But hey - at least the machine that allows you to get a beach towel was free. Finally the last bit of disappointment was the restaurant menus on the resort and the overlapping of menu options across all 3. There was very little that was different so you don't honestly have 3 restaurant options, you have maybe 1.5. I personally wouldn't stay here again and I feel bad saying that because the food was good, the staff was very friendly and we did like the location. One final nail in the coffin, our first day before we checked in our waitress at a restaurant down the street asked us where we were staying. We told her the Sirata. Her exact response was "oh man, good luck"."

"Been coming to this resort for 15 years and it's an amazing location and the rooms are good for the price. Most notable downside is the last few years there has been a noticeable increase in the rough crowd that comes here. This last trip there was people passed out in the resort on the ground (I have pictures), people not from the resort taking up the hot tub and pool, people smoking weed (which I don't mind, just please not in the rooms), homeless wandering the resort, always seemed to be more of a quiet, safe, family oriented resort prior years, this year and last year we just haven't felt as safe or prioritized as guests over the bad people that just show up. I just really hope the management at this resort take back control and verify people and make it feel safe again. Will be back again next year most likely and that's just the final chance to see if this place is taking a dive or gonna continue to be our go to resort in St. Pete Beach!"

"Visited for a weekend wedding. Booked months in advance under the room block a double queen suite with pull out sofa. This room, as is all the double queen suites, are in building 4. Even before entry we noticed the curtains inside were dirty. Upon entry we were hit with a strong dingy smell. The couch was sagging In the middle, the bathroom light was very dim, the dehumidifier was full and we were the farthest we could be from the rest of the wedding guests we. We did request a room change and were placed into a king suite with pullout couch in building 1. This room looked and felt much cleaner and more welcoming than the first room. We stayed in this room for the weekend and had a list of inconveniences such as the balcony door not closing properly nor could I figure out how to safely lock it so we did not use the balcony at all. It would have been an awesome door opening from wall to wall. The location is absolutely gorgeous. There are two pools and a hot tub, a fire pit and each room receives two chair rental vouchers per day and they will set it up for you on the beach. If you need more it's $15 for a chair or umbrella and $175 for a double lounge seat and you can enjoy it until 6pm when they collect them. We would absolutely visit st Pete Beach again but will have to read newer reviews about the hotel since it has recently come under new ownership."
