Courtyard by Marriott DeLand Historic Downtown

"Booked my stay through American Express, and can’t recall a “breakfast package” it is possible I may have missed, however if not selected, it is not able to be added on at all in the future. Our tv color balance was off horrendously, and when asked if there was any way to change, maintenance crew is not available. And during a short stay, made it irritating being that I will have only had one more night. Room service did not come in at all during the whole day despite not having anything on the door. The A/c is very noisy, and whenever it shuts off crackles when turned off. Overall for an astounding 173 a night, not even including taxes and fees, I wouldn’t recommend staying here for anything. Hopefully the Hampton inn down the street will be a much better opportunity for my next trip. The location is good, but for another location to be cheaper, with a indoor pool, it can’t be much worse than here."

"Great rooms very clean, dude at the front counter needs a personality but over all we had a great stay! We never try the breakfast but it smelled good."

"ITS A DANGER AND MONEY TRAP!!! For almost $750 for 2 NIGHTS!! You would expect almost perfection. The AC in my room didn’t work and smelt almost musty and just made the room more humid. Set it to 65 and was definitely not. The sound of the Main Street is not muffled at all. Almost cracked my head walking into the shower as the wet tile is treacherous!!!! Instantly slipped the first step I took. This might be new but my room wasn’t cleaned while I stayed there. The elevators are death traps. The fact I didn’t get stuck in one of them is amazing. The left one drops down when you step into it on the first floor. The right one jerks your very hard going up that my knees buckled and the couple with me screamed as it went up. If you have weak knees or leg strength definitely avoid it. I didn’t check but they say the elevator certification is at the front desk but I can’t imagine they would pass code. Did I mention that parking wasn’t included? PARKING?? Great location but for what I paid for 2 nights I would have rather been further away after that experience. SAVE YOUR MONEY and be careful entering the showers and elevators."

"Out of all my Marriot stays I can say I will stay at this one AGAIN. Charged for a smoking fee and we don’t even smoke! Accused of having smell of pot in room when we call the GM he tried to give us someone else’s last name not even ours! So you charged the wrong room. Showed up there he was very rude didn’t care what we had to say as we heard him tell house keeping do not go back in that room so cops can smell it but come to find out room was already cleaned so doesn’t make sense to us."

"Very nice hotel. There was a 'surprise' of being charged $11. for parking which was very disappointing. We had a quiet great nights sleep and felt safe. Our room was clean. We'd stay there again."
