"This place is truly a great place to stay. We live about 45 minutes away and wanted to go somewhere not too far away but quiet and close to the springs. We just happened upon this place on Expedia and the price was fair. I booked a room for two nights and ended up adding a third night. The price was definitely cheaper through Expedia and feel they could charge a bit less at the resort itself. I paid about two thirds the price for one night as I did for two nights through Expedia. That's the reason for four stars. Otherwise the place is very beautiful, very near to DeLand which has any item you might need to pick up while staying at the resort. It's situated right on the lake which is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sunset over the lake. Plenty of wildlife, you feel as though you're in the middle of nowhere but as I said only like ten minutes to shopping and everything else. There was hardly anyone else there this time of year and the people who were there were all extremely nice. The man working the resort was extremely nice and easy to get along with and talk to. Overall had a very nice stay and would certainly recommend to anyone."

"I stayed here 10/26/23-10/31/23. I was stuck in Orlando for unrelated reasons but wanted to get out of the city. This was the perfect place to stay. A quiet peaceful retreat less than an hour from orlando. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel, this isn’t it. It’s more of a “weekend at the lake” kind of thing. Some would say it’s dated, but I think the style of the rooms is perfect for the setting. My room felt like a cottage. The rooms are organized in a “U” shape with parking all along the outside and a courtyard in the center, so you get light from the front and back of your room. There are lots of picnic tables and a fire pit. I believe each room has a sliding glass door with access to the courtyard. On the Saturday and Sunday I was there there was a BBQ food truck set up. I can imagine this place being a blast for young families vacationing together. The wifi always worked and the AC worked great. I love being by the water and staying here with a view of the lake brought me so much joy. Would recommend staying here to anyone."
