HOTEL BLUE

"It's been remodeled and is much cleaner. It's also in a good DeLand location with fairly easy access to Daytona Beach or the interstate to get to Orlando. It seems there are less transients living there."

"Rooms were *almost* clean. Found other peoples hair in the beds blankets and sheets. But otherwise not stained or gross. Bathroom was rough. Moldy/dingy, prob because there is no exhaust vent. Also the bathroom door didn't shut. Busted/gross toilet seat. Someone else's used wash cloth in the shower. Rude front desk woman when our key cards stopped working 3 separate times, despite no abnormal use on our end. Positives are that it was a quiet stay, and they had a well lit parking lot. Housekeeping did offer us additional towels and an extra roll of toilet paper once."

"My family and I stayed in this hotel after about a 30 hour drive. A friend from the area told us it's be a good place and is pet friendly so we went in the middle of the night. We woke up the lady at the front desk in order to get the room. Once we were inside I started to notice that it looked like the floors hadn't been swept. No big deal because I was exhausted. Threw the covers off the bed to reveal tons of dirt on the sheets, then I went into the bathroom only to be greeted by a family of roaches! I literally freaked out! I was too tired to try any other places so our family decided to sleep in our car in the parking lot. While we were trying to sleep a car pulled in next to us. It freaked me out a little when I heard him tell the passage to lock the doors because it wasn't a good neighborhood so I kept an eye on the guy only to watch him buy drugs from someone at the hotel in the middle of the parking lot! And that was my welcome to Florida. Thankfully we've had a ton of good experiences here but my kids cried that night while we all thought we had made a huge mistake on this vacation."

"The rooms have been recently renovated and the hotel name change doesn't show in my maps yet. The front desk staff let me check in early before it started to storm. The cleaning staff were very nice and had a smile for me. The soda machine doesn't work. They have a fridge and microwave which amazingly they do not mention in their amenities. There is a Publix and Chick-fil-A minutes away. Keke's breakfast place and more. I took a Lyft to Debauchery for a concert. It was worth it as parking at the venue sucks and I was dropped off right out front. It's just the basics no iron. But really clean. Would stay again."

"If you want to bring home German roaches and bed bugs, Go ahead and book a stay here. Staff was rude, said “my people are gross” and “she hates my people”. Bed was covered in stains of all sorts and cigarette burns, room smelled like cigarettes. I informed the staff there was roaches in my first room and they only offered to spray the room, I told them I had a baby with me so I said no. I asked for a refund she tried to give me another room but as I walked in the room it was worse than the first. Roaches Roaches and Roaches with a hint of bed bug. Nothing like Deland Florida at the hotel blue."
