Lost Key Resort

"Would leave 0 stars if possible. 1. Our house was DISGUSTINGLY filthy, dust, dirt, mold in the shower, hair, stained sheets etc. we spent 2 hours cleaning it right when we got there even tho we paid a $400 cleaning fee they CLEARLY did not do their job. Also talked to multiple other people staying there when we did and they also said their house was absolutely filthy. Pathetic. I will attach photos of our disgusting house below. 2. If you stay on the end like we did it was a pretty far walk to the pool, so we talked to the security guys and they recommended a golf cart rental place, so we rented a golf cart, & then the rude, man child property manager informed us & everyone else staying there that we can drive around the resort but we cannot park at the pool. We can park a vehicle at the pool but not a golf cart? Make it make sense. 3. There’s a public beach access parking lot but there’s only 10 parking spaces in it & it’s full every morning by am, To get to the beach you either need to walk, it’s about 2 miles. Or take the shuttle but you can’t call and schedule a time so you have to stand outside and wait till it goes by. ( no one knows what time it goes either) And you’re not allowed to take a cooler in the shuttle, who doesn’t take a cooler to the beach? Hello it’s almost 100 degrees? You obviously also can’t drive your golf cart there either. 4. The location is terrible, there is nothing except 1 restaurant. All in all it was a terrible place to stay, if the rude property manager’s intentions were to make sure we never come back, he succeeded!"

"We come to Florida every year sometimes twice a year and this was by far the worst place we've stayed. There is literally NO ONE ever around to ask any questions. There is barely any parking at the pool, plus we rented a golf cart to make transportation easier and they told us 3 days in golf carts aren't allowed to park at the pool. Plus on top of everything, the first day we got to our condo, it was FILTHY, 5 of us spent an hour and a half cleaning. DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER STAYING HERE!!!!"

"We stayed in Our Happy Place. The condo was fabulous! However, we were told that there would be shuttle service to the beach. There was one shuttle for the entire complex and it ran from 11am to 7pm so if you wanted to go to the beach early you had to walk or drive. The shuttle would only hold 15 people. If you were waiting with a bunch of people then there is a chance you would not get on. There were signs saying you could not take a cooler on the shuttle or to the beach. Who goes to the beach without a cooler???? Also, we were told there were chairs and umbrellas and there were but there wasn't enough for everyone so you had to get there at 8:00 am to claim some. Our last day was a Tuesday and all the chairs and unbrellas were chained up because the beach club was closed. The paperwork said beach service 7 days a week from 9:00 to 5:00. Plus, you had to have a key card to get into the beach club. Once you were in you had to have the card to open the gate from the club to get to the beach. It was way too much swiping the key card just to access anything. Really nice property but too much logistics!"

"We stayed here via AirBnB and it was great for our needs (which were fairly minimal). The location has good proximity to beaches and the many, many restaurants as you head west on the main beach road. It’s a 40 min drive from downtown Pensacola, which we didn’t quite expect, but we didn’t do that drive every day and it was fine. The resort has a small section of private beach, with a small restaurant and pool area. Unfortunately, the hours are a little limited (perhaps late April is considered pre-season), and all 3 times we went to the beach club area the restaurant and bar was closed. Overall, I had no problems but also nothing so notable that I’d go out of my way to stay here again on a return visit."

"They don’t tell you that you cannot use all of the pools on the grounds. Each portion of the grounds has a specified pool and cannot access the other pool. There’s no parking at the beach club, even though I asked the booking agent and they said their was. Room was extremely outdated (couch was so worn out we had to put pillows down to sit on, everything was broken including the ice maker, multiple door handles, the front door lock, etc). Don’t expect much from this property and don’t expect anyone to be around to help. The only people we could find were the security guards who only said “talk to the people you booked through”, which was luxury coastal the owners of the whole property…"
