"Spotless room! Friendly management. It's such a cute place. We only were exploring the area and just stayed overnight in the efficiency room. The bed was very comfy, and the room and the grounds were impeccably clean. We hope to return when we can stay longer and rent one of the cottages."

"Locally owned and you can tell they put a lot of pride in their property. Aimee had great communication from making the reservation to check-out. The room was exactly as described. This is an excellent location for walking all around the downtown area. We will absolutely be back!"

"Efficiency Room #6: The owner, Amy, personally interacted with me twice before check-in which I found to be very personable service. She also offered early check-in, free of charge which was appreciated and wish I could have taken advantage of. Code was texted for keyless entry after hours. I was pleasantly surprised how extremely clean and well stocked my accommodations were for a standard room. Everything a person could possibly need for a short stay was in the room: toiletries, dishes, silverware, dish towels, etc. Grounds were very well kept and photograph worthy. The pavilion with porch swings and tables was amazing and had excellent view of the Gulf sunset. I did not use the bicycles, kayaks, or golf carts but plan to on my next visit. This was my first time visiting Cedar Key and feel no need to look at other places. I will most definitely be returning and have recommended to family and friends."

"We passed this place a few years ago when we were staying somewhere else. Loved it. It just looks so "old Florida", but neat and clean and updated. We've stayed in three different rooms there (cottages and an efficiency), and they were all great. The owners are super nice and efficient, very helpful, you feel like part of the family. We're already planning our next trip to Faraway Inn. Be sure to rent a golf cart from them . . . so much more fun to not have to touch your car once you check in! A very laid back place, totally relaxing."

"We have stayed with Faraway Inn twice a year (or more) for the last 4 years! We love the fact that they are so welcoming to our pets & us! Amy is very kind & helpful! The rooms are very clean & feel like "home". We have stayed in a waterfront room, the small room next to the office all the way up to the Captain's Quarters. All have been very comfortable & have everything you would need for an overnight stay or a week long visit! We love Cedar Key & one of the reasons we enjoy this little slice of paradise is because of the Faraway Inn! Keep up the good job!!"
