"Unfortunately I have to agree that (perhaps recently) Dr Lokai has experienced a personal problem or pathology that seems to be clouding his capabilities or professional judgement"
"Very knowledgeable. Helped me understand my horse's issues. Great vet. Very nice assistant. Dr. Lokai is the best!"
"Dr. Lokai is the best!!! Has been our vet of choice for over 20 years. His knowledge and expertise are bar none. Have so appreciated his honesty and dead accurate diagnosis over the years. He tells you the good, the bad and the ugly which I have great respect for. He and his wife, Robin are wonderful people!"
"Dr Lokai is very knowledgeable and came quickly when my horse developed choke. Very professional, quick and did a great job explaining everything to my daughter. Thank you!"
"This is a very difficult review for me to write, as both Dr. Lokai and his wife are lovely people who I like very much personally. However, I feel that I would be doing a disservice to my fellow canine lovers if I did not provide feedback in regards to my experience with him. I took my two one year old Brussel Griffon puppies to Dr. Lokai several months ago for routine shots and to be microchip. He was very rough with both my dogs, during the vaccination he pulled the skin back and pushed the needle through both sides of one dog – resulting in him squirting the vaccine on my wrist. On his second attempt he again pushed the needle through, except this time he vaccinated my thumb by stabbing me with the needle. Subsequent of this, he proceeded to accidentally chipping the same dog twice. By the way, the vaccinations as it turned out were not necessary…I was charged full price for his services, although he was nice enough not to charge me for the accidental (2nd) chip inserted in my dog. My folks have also been taking their dog to him, who would be dead had they listened to his advice. Their lab had a large bump on his back thigh and were told to wait until the ‘bump pops’. They were given a cream which was supposedly an antibiotic, but after reading the label found it was an ointment to treat pregnant cows and was not an antibiotic. Thankfully they took him to another and was immediately operated on. Another friend took her dog to be spayed – she was perfectly healthy when she went under the procedure, and nearly dead by the end. Again, Dr. Lokai is a wonderful and nice man who has clearly established among the Ocala Veterinarian community. I don’t know if something has happened that’s impacted his clinical judgment, but I will never take my animals back. Thank you."
