"Something that needs to be pointed out. I live in the villages and my only local fish stores are the two big chain stores there staff although good intension usually gives more bad information than help full the tropical fish choices are slim pickings at best and the mortality rate runs about 50% Yeh they will give you a new fish but you already have a tank with a problem from the original fish. Yes, I quarantine my new fish but when something dies, I start that tank over and it takes time. Now here comes The Aquatic source yes, I have to drive a little ways to get there but after a few months of using them I can say I have bought several fish, crabs and snails without one single sick anything as a matter of fact they are all thriving including plants. I am thrilled to have a local independent store with good quality. Keep up the good work."

It was close to closing time so i felt a little bad but had some great chat with the man working (who i presume is the owner?) and ended up there a few minutes past close with 8 new ember tetras! "The owners are awesome!! I go there every month to buy anything from plants, fish, turtles, drift wood, rocks, tanks, substrate, and much more. He has been dealing with fish for years and is very reliable. He has helped me figure out many issues in the past and is super knowledgeable. He is also the only fish keeper I know of, who Quarantines his fish and plants for 2 weeks before he sells them. Usually, everyone else just looks at them to see if there is anything wrong on the outside and then has people buy them. When that happens, it can affect your healthy fish. He cares that much to take the extra steps needed to make his customers happy! I highly recommend his store!"

"The owner is super welcoming and willing to help too! Very nice selection of freshwater fish, inverts, plants, driftwood and rock. They even carry Aquarium Co-Op products (see sponge filter in pic, super impressed with those). They’re also pretty engaged on social media for updates such as the odd early close for power outages/hurricanes and such. I’ll happily make the hour drive and look forward to inventing many more excuses to visit!"
