"If you value the wellbeing of your animal, please stay far away from this place. Not once, but twice, they directly caused harm to my pets. I had taken my cat here to be fixed and upon picking him up, he was returned to me in his crate and he had been left sitting for hours in his own urine. When they handed him to me I could immediately smell it. The next day he had a high fever and infection and we had to get him on antibiotics right away. This is unacceptable and would not have happened at any respectable practice. On another occasion we brought our Shepard in for a swollen eye and the tech proceeded to drag him by his neck/leash to the back while he resisted yet she continued to pull/yank my poor baby (I understand he is a large vet anxious dog so I always offer to walk him back but the “tech” insisted). If you cannot respect not only the owners wishes (we know our animals best) or know how to deal with large dogs, then maybe look into another career path. The next day we noticed he was yelping in pain when trying to put on his harness. Turns out he had a soft tissue tear from this incident and yet again, Banfield takes zero responsibility. Aside from these incidents, the level of care we received was always subpar and you can tell that the techs are miserable and I question if they even like animals. We now use a respectable private practice that is not owned by a giant corporation that has been known to push unnecessary procedures and vaccines. They may even cause harm to your pet to further their bottom line."
"I have been a wellness plan holder for 5 and a half years and last week my dog had an emergency. He was restless all night, shaking, vomitting and I was very worried he needed care immediately. I called the office in Delray was very frantically trying to explain the situation and they told me that the best they could do was a drop off or observation from one of the techs. He would not be able to see a doctor before the afternoon. I was beyond furious and worried. What is the point of paying for a wellness plan if your dog can't get needed emergency care? I had no choice but to take him to another vet where they diagnosed his poisening and were able to help, he had a rough weekend but is finally feeling better, no thanks to Banfield who were completely useless in this situation. I will be cancelling my wellness plan and highly recommend you bring your pets elsewhere, they are unreliable, overpriced and at the end of the day weren't there when I needed them."
"The veterinarians and staff are wonderful. Knowledgeable about your pet and so ready to sit and talk without making you feel like they have one foot out the exam room door!! This is my 4th dog that I bring to Banfield. Trust them implicity."
"Nice the nurse goes over your appt before your dog sees the vet. Last 2 x they have done this. They listen well and they let Dr know everything. Works out real good for me and don't feel rushed when talking with nurse"
"I was extremely pleased with my most recent visit as I have followed them from pet smart to their current location. I come to them because the Doctors are great , especially Dr Emanuel; but I was always disappointed with the customer service I would receive from the staff where at times they could be rude or bothered if I asked a question. However this week I was being helped by Melissa who I see is must be new, she helped me on the phone and during my visit in person and she was just a doll. Very pleasant, very patient and knowledgeable. That visit left an impression and I left a happy pet parent. Thank you !"
