"I recently moved back to Lake County and needed a vet for my 15 year old chihuahua. I called 3 other places before contacting TAH. The first place was booked until December, the 2nd wanted to do a thorough examination of my dogs history before taking him on as a client and the third put me on a very long hold on the phone. When I finally called TAH, it was an immediate relief. The staff was polite and thorough and they could see my dog the next day. The day of my exam, my dog was seen at the promised time. The employees at the desk were super polite and respectful. Dr. Blackwell stole the show with what was the most thorough exam I've ever seen my dog get in 15 years. I could not believe how attentive and approachable the doctor was. I highly recommend Tavares Animal Hospital. I personally live in Eustis and drive by several closer hospitals and it's worth it. "We’ve been taking our bunnies here since they were born. We couldn’t find a specialist anywhere around our area and so glad we found TAH. Dr. Bud have been amazing the entire time but last week we thought we were going to lose one of the bunnies and she saved her. After that visit, we have to give Olaf a liquid medicine twice a day for 5 days. This bunny has never been outside of our house except to go to the vet but she knows she’s prey so she’s the most paranoid bunny I’ve ever seen. We had to call the doctor for advise on how to trap her because we were causing so much stress to her and to us. Dr. Bud once again solved our issue with much compassion and clarified the importance of giving Olaf her medicine. At age 51, these are my first pets EVER so needless to say, I needed guidance and not just a vet which Dr. Bud provides every single time."

Where they diagnosed her with pancreatitis. They nearly killed her and feel zero responsibility for their actions ."

"I'm an Iraq Veteran and last week had a difficult decision to make about my ESA, Simon. I grew up in Lake County but I live on the gulf coast. Simon and I had 13 years together and had many adventures but the one I'll remember best is last summer's two month tent camping excursion in the high country of Colorado. I always told him he was the best dog ever and where I went, he went as much as possible. I brought him to TAH as a first timer there and everything went as expected and planned. Dr. Huffines, as I told him, was just the doc I was hoping to find. He was gentle, personable and compassionate. Simon seemed to relax right away when he handled him and that made me feel good to know he was relaxed. The techs and environment in general were professional and caring. I took Simon's body to my childhood home in the country and spent the week beautifying his grave site forever known as "Simon's Garden". When I returned home, here in Palmetto, I had a very thoughtful card waiting for me signed by all the docs. I'll never forget my sweet Simon and the compassion he was surrounded by in his final moments and I highly recommend TAH based on this"
