"Picked up one of two prescriptions. Was told that it'd be an hour before the second prescription would be ready, that they just received it. DON'T BELIEVE THAT FOR ONE SECOND. Why would the same doctor send the second prescription at a different time. I believe that I was lied to. I live too far from pharmacy to return in an hour with my 88 year old husband. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, YET AGAIN!!!"
"TL:DR version: Due to this pharmacy causing insurance issues they cannot fix (meaning I have to pay out of pocket for medications instead of using my insurance) and being understaffed, I can't recommend this location. Details: In December, this CVS automatically filled one of my medications. I never picked it up because I still had medication left, so it got returned to stock. Early January I decided to switch to Publix Pharmacy because it would be more convenient and I had some minor issues with this CVS that made me want to switch pharmacies once my prescription plan changed this year. I requested to refill that medication at Publix because I actually need the medication now, and they told me my insurance said I filled it in December and won't cover it. I can see the claim on my insurance, so I called CVS to have them reverse it. They said they have no record of the claim, could not reverse it and to call my insurance company. So I called my insurance company who said that they can't reverse claims from outside pharmacies such as CVS, that CVS needs to do it. My insurance company confirmed they could see the claim and that it was sent from this specific CVS. So I called CVS back, there was nothing they could do because somehow it's not in their system. They said they were going to transfer it to the CVS help desk but I am not sure if that will result in anything. This got so frustrating, that I'm just going to end up paying out of pocket for it at Publix Pharmacy because I don't want to have to deal with it anymore and I need the medication. Luckily, it's going to be $14 for a 90 day supply….. But still, if this didn't happen I wouldn't have to pay anything (or very little) for this medication. I used to work at a local clinic and a large part of my job was calling various pharmacies to work out patients' medication issues. I know for a fact that this SAME EXACT thing happened at another CVS in Gainesville, and that that CVS was able to fix the problem. To make matters worse, they were understaffed today so all calls were going directly to voicemail meaning a game of phone tag. I feel bad for the employees at this location. The woman on the phone was kind, but honestly did not have the time because she was one of two employees there."
"The worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Condescending staff, lost prescriptions, new prescriptions being put on hold status without notice simply because they fail to verify with the prescriber that it's to accompany existing dosage. Three weeks' delay in starting a new dosage because they put it on hold instead of filling and dispensing. And in one call I was told first there was no prescription, then told they were out of the medication & would have to reorder, then told that *I* would need to call around to other locations to see if they had my medication in stock, then told it was put on hold although it was time to fill as of the following day, then told it would be put BACK on hold, only to receive a text 2 minutes AFTER closing that my prescription was ready. The pharmacy needs an entirely new staff and management. ."
"I Have used CVS pharmacies for years. This one in Alachua has made it where I will NEVER use again- poor customer service, rude behavior- cancelling my prescription and then being rude about it. Being very condescending when communication my price.... which I can Pay fine- 20 year customer and this location has made me switch pharmacies...."
"The absolute worst pharmacy I’ve ever encountered. They ABSOLUTELY do not pick up the phone, every time I call I’m on hold for at least 30 minutes before I just give up and end the call. I have stood in a line of 6 people for 20 minutes and there are 3 staff back there just letting the phone ring (but also in no rush to help the people in line). Also the staff is the most unhappy looking staff I think I have ever seen. It definitely shows with their customer service as well."
