"I took my dog for the first time to West Coast Groomers last week. She’s a golden retriever and as such has had ear issues. I asked them to not get her ears wet. The grooming and deshedding was really good. When I got home I saw that her ears were shaved and red. I sent pictures to them and asked that they don’t shave her ears next time. A few days later the redness turned into a fowl smelling infection. I went to the groomer and spoke with Robert. After a difficult discussion, he graciously offered to go with me to the vet to see if the shaving possibly caused the infection. The vet told us that the ears shouldn’t be shaved in this breed. Robert said that he would pay for the vet treatment and he was true to his word!! I respect his professionalism and putting the best interest of my dog first!! He is a good kind person and I appreciate his willingness to help me and my dog in a very difficult situation. I’ll gladly return to this business and give him a great recommendation to anyone who asks!"
