"This was my first time here. The viz was not that great this time. I am assuming the earlier storms were the cause. The parking seemed adequate and there were plenty of tables for teams or groups to stage and brief. I plan to return so I can experience the dive with the epic visibility I’ve heard about. The dive shop seemed well equipped. Friendly staff. Go if you’re in the area."
"Very dog friendly. Very nice staff. We had our tree climbing event here in December. Nice outside pavilion. Our host was so good to us. The grounds need work since their flood in 2021 but they are working on it. The dorms were nice. Comfy beds and hot shower. I'll be back in the summer time."
"First scuba dive in FL and what a success! I’ve only ever dived off the coast of CA and Bahamas and this reminds me of Bahamas a lot! The crystal clear blue water with lots of fishies that like to follow you around and the rock formations as well as reefs. It is a colder dive I had a 3mm wetsuit and towards the end was shivering. I think next time I’ll bring either a 5 or 7mm with a hood and then I’ll be nice and toasty…There’s a dive shop on site and you can rent everything besides fins and a mask. I would say very reasonably priced for a dive shop. We will be back and won’t forget our GoPro the next time.."
"The campground is horrible. There is hardly any maintenance. When we arrived, every single fire pit anywhere near us was filled with trash. One had an old tent folded up in it. Clearly they are not being cleaned out after people check out. The power boxes where we are supposed to plug our camper in, most of them are very beaten up to the point it doesn’t really feel safe to plug a camper into. We found a box that looked like it was in perfect condition but the transformer makes buzzing and sparking noises randomly throughout the day, so still doesn’t seem safe. We stayed 2 nights, first morning we didn’t have water for a while. Second morning again we wake up to no water. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and don’t seem to be being maintained either. We have camped here once a year for the past several years. It seems to get worse every year, and after this year I am not sure if we will return."
"This is the 2nd year we've come here and it's just been great. The people are nice. Kids are having a great time on the rope swing, jumping Plat forms, slides and picnics. I enjoyed the band that weekend and the fireworks. They have several porta potties. The restrooms are out of order on and off. The shower houses for the campers need to be upgraded badly but overall a great family experience."
