Dr. Gina M. Harris, Ph.D.

"In my opinion, Dr. Harris wasted our times over numerous sessions and didn't act with the best interests of my 8-year old son in mind. She never made him or us, his parents, feel like she cared. In the end, after numerous sessions and tests, she came to no conclusions and no diagnosis, just regurgitated things we told her and recommended more testing. She was not easy to schedule with. I feel she had no regard for my schedule or my husband's and basically demanded that we come at a specific time in a given week which is not easy on working parents. If that time didn't work, her remarks came off as questioning our dedication to our child. I did not have one conversation with her where I didn't feel negative judgement from her towards me or my husband. In our final assessment session, which was the last straw for me because I was continuously giving her the benefit of the doubt, she showed up 10 minutes late and then in the middle, left with her coat and purse and asked my husband to keep an eye on my son. She didn't share how long she would be gone. I contacted her immediately and she claimed she was just using the restroom. Upon her return 10-15 minutes later she berated by husband telling him something to the extent of "do not ever let your wife contact me during a session again." I clearly contacted her because she left the session with no explanation. According to my son, when he finished testing that day he asked if he could leave. She told him no, our time isn't up and made him sit there while she read a book in front of him. He had already been there nearly 2 hours. He shared that during his assessments she was constantly on her phone or computer (which in my opinion means she was not assessing him). Dr Harris's final report, which we finally had to demand that she send to us and our pediatrician, I believe could have been written off of two sessions and one assessment. I feel that she wasted our time. And unfortunately, my son is now very opposed to seeing anyone in this realm of medicine now."
