"The front desk receptionist provided misleading information about my insurance coverage, both for the practice as a whole, and the specific provider I was going to see. Initially, I had requested a provider that the receptionist told me was out of network for my insurance plan, then recommended another provider who was supposedly in-network with my insurance plan, supposedly after they called my insurance to check. She said that despite the provider being in-network, my insurance would only cover 60% of the session fee, and specifically said, "Wherever you go, this is how much you will owe until your deductible is met," which was completely misleading because I contacted another therapist this month (not affiliated with the practice), who said my deductible was met and my insurance would cover 90% of the session fee. When I contacted Aetna regarding this issue, Aetna explained to me that the entire Coral Gables Counseling Center practice does *not* accept my specific insurance plan and that the provider they set me up with is actually out-of-network for my insurance. I understand people make mistakes, and that I probably should have called my insurance company before agreeing to set up an appointment, instead of trusting that the practice would correctly verify my benefits.The worst part was when I called the center to address the misleading information. I spoke with another receptionist, who repeatedly cut me off and did not listen to the fact that Aetna, the insurance company itself, said that the entire practice was out of network for my specific plan. She said that there was no misleading information communicated and did not care to hear my situation. She essentially blamed it all on Aetna, claiming they gave us conflicting information, which is completely not true. The center just lied about being in-network when they were out-of-network. It's really disheartening because mental health practices are supposed to be supportive, especially since patients are likely experiencing personal difficulties when they take the step to get help. When a mistake is made, at least hear out your potential client so that your practice won't make the same mistake again."

"I have been treated by Dr. Fernández and Dr Rahman and I must say that they are by far the best therapists. Dr Rahman is a reliable caring and very professional Psychiatrist. She is also very conscious about medicines. I just love her! About Dr. Lucia Fernandez I can say that after several years seen her once in a while , she is the best listener. Every time I talk to her is like getting on track again. She is lovely and sincere. I would recommend them with hesitate."
