Behavior Blossoms LLC is an institution located at 502 North Spring Garden Avenue, DeLand, Florida, United States. We specialize in using social skills curriculum and skills training groups to help children increase their confidence, empathy, attention, greetings, and other friendship skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Our focus is on Functional Communication Training (FCT) to enhance communication of needs, wants, and self-advocacy in a way that works best for each individual child. We prioritize finding the right method, whether it be vocal speech, sign language, augmentative devices, or picture exchange communication system (PECS).

Through functional behavior assessment, we determine the reasons behind certain behaviors and develop more effective ways for children to meet their needs. Our interventions are always focused on helping children acquire the skills they need to reach their developmental milestones in the least restrictive manner.

We offer independent evaluations, parent training, organizational training, and advocacy for Individual Education Plans (IEP) to work collaboratively with school services. Parent training is included in our treatment packages to ensure that we are working together towards the future goals you have for your child.

Collaborating with doctors, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, we address medical concerns and behavioral feeding issues, as well as teach routines for medical environments to promote overall health. We also work on promoting independence in daily life through self-care skills, such as potty training, dressing, chores, safety, and community integration.

At Blossoms Academy, our teacher uses behavioral interventions and structured teaching methods to fill learning gaps. We assess skills using grade level assessments and utilize direct instruction curriculums to ensure success in school.

Our intake process involves interviews and observations to understand the needs of each child and family. We use various assessments to determine skill deficits and the medical necessity for our services.

Using a variety of teaching techniques in our ABA toolbox, such as Discrete Trail Training (DTT), Pivotal Response (PRT), and Naturalistic Teaching (NET), we help children acquire the necessary skills for life. Our goal is to make therapy enjoyable and effective by identifying preferred reinforcers and making difficult tasks more playful.
