"I called Heidi's office on a Friday to see if I could be squeezed in the following Monday due to my ovary has a cyst and my stomach is swollen and I can't even stand up and she said go to the emergency room and hung up on me. I explained to her that I have been to the emergency room and all I wanted was an appointment. I never even asked to speak to her , that was her answering service. It was nowhere near 20 years ago(5 years is more like it and I can pull up my records) My messages was never threatening or nasty just simply stating that a doctor should never hang up on a patient. I saved my text message and there is nothing threatening about it whatsoever. To accuse someone of making a threat is very serious to me and I would never do such a thing. I even called my provider to see if there was a way I could pull up my sent messages. If there was a way then I would have gladly posted exactly what was said on both ends. That accusation really bothered me and I wish that she would have been honest about what was said . If you read her response she never explains why she hung up because there is no excuse. Had she explained that she does not work with the hospital anymore instead of hanging up on me things could have ended nicely. At the beginning of my conversation I thanked her several times for personally calling me back because I thought due to the seriousness of my condition that she was genuinely concerned but I was wrong. The conversation quickly turned sour on her end.She even stated that her answering service "never should have bothered her." I was warned about her and I should have listened. The response to my review is simply someone trying to save their own skin. It's really sad that someone who I trusted with my pregnancies would have turned into such a person. I welcome an apology and hope in the future she learns from this. I have lived in Stuart for almost 40 years and worked for a few doctors and none of them have ever treated their patients in such a fashion. I hope that this was an isolated incident because maybe something was going on personally but it should not have been taken out on anyone else. People have bad days and we are all human but at least we should be apologetic and honest. Even though she is dishonest in her reply I was raised to forgive. It would just be really nice if people would be more honest because nobody is perfect."
