Dr. Marijane Q. Boyd, MD

"Okay, so I’ve read a few bad reviews for this practice and I’m not here to invalidate anyone else’s experience, let me make that clear first. Everyone is different and could’ve had a different experience than I did. From my personal point of view, I really like Dr. Boyd and the staff. As a young female, the gynecologist is obviously not my favorite place in the world to be. I’ve also had to terminate a pregnancy in the past due to personal reasons, and disclosing this to doctors is always an anxiety-inducer as the judgment, lectures, and uncomfortable stares from even professionals have always been free-flowing and harsh in the past. However, Dr. Boyd has never had a negative thing to say about this, she’s maybe asked how I was doing emotionally afterwards during my last year’s annual and just asked me to confirm the year of it during my most recent appointment, but no judgment or shaming, which makes me as a patient more comfortable in being honest with my medical history. She’s open-minded to prescribing birth control methods that work best for you personally, another huge bonus. It is my theory that some patients are not comfortable with her straightforward manner, but I personally really appreciate it. She’s always been extremely clear, kind, and thorough with me anytime I’ve gone to her, her stafff and nurses are calm and sweet, and there was even a space heater in my examination room for the brisk, chilly day we were having."

"Incompetent, rude, and unprofessional. My hypothesis from the several times I have visited this office is that the office staff are overworked/unhappy and Dr. Boyd does the bare minimum to practice as a physician. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for treatment/professional advice."

"Once Dr Christian retired, I should have looked for a new doctor. Dr Boyd and her staff are incepetient .. if you are trying to have tests scheduled (MRI), don’t wait for them.. you will get an earful about how busy they are etc. Take my word, look for another doc ladies! My vet is better.. more responsive and a professional!"
