"Rude, non transparent and harassing. Tonya was extremely rude to my husband when he inquired about a quote for a homeowners warranty. Their sample contract is in the fine print on the terms and conditions page, HIDDEN in hopes no one really sees it? Been called 12 times within a 2 days after telling them TWICE we will not be working with them."

"Stay away from American Residential Warranty. Their administrative support is horrendous, and the quality of their repairs is also. You have to wait on the phone to talk to anyone with an annoying refrain of “your estimated wait time is approximately 10 minutes” which goes on for around a half hour on average before you get to speak to someone. The local repair company was only open 4 days a week and were clueless to diagnose why my Samsung refrigerator was freezing up on the inside and not keeping food at its stated temperature of 36 degrees. They attempted a repair which was not effective and made me pay a second $100 service call after a month and a half because their repairs are only guaranteed for ONE MONTH! Their second repair attempt wasn’t much better and when I notified them that I wanted to cancel the arrangement they said I was committed to a year’s contract when the sales document clearly showed I was on a month-to-month basis. Then, they charged me $384.78 for the ineffective repairs after I had already paid them $450 in monthly fees and service call charges. So, if you want to get aggravated and pay a lot of money for nothing, then they’re your company. If not, do yourself a favor and find a local repairman with integrity and capability."

"There were A Lot of emails and phone calls between ARW and the Service Provider and myself. Due to the refrigerator error code I experienced substantial wait time for parts to be ordered and received. The job was ultimately finished and seems it was worth the wait. The error code has not returned. It's always nice to get something fixed right the first time."

"I had this service for three years. I’ve made 7 claims and they only covered 1. The one they covered was for my hot water heater. They only paid out $500 and I hand to pay $1700 out of pocket to fix it. My new company will pay up to $3k per appliance. The hot water heater was fixed on 12/23/2023. I called on 12/28/2023 to cancel my contract which renewed on 1/1/2024. I was told my claim was not closed and I needed to call back. I called on 12/30/2023 and they said the claim was closed, but the cancellation department was closed and that I needed to call back on 1/1/2024. I was told they open at 8am. I called at 8am on 1/1/2024 and no one answered the phone. On 1/2/2024 my credit card was charged $92.96. On that day I called to ask for a refund because it was not my fault that my contract wasn’t canceled. I called back on 1/3/2024 and I was told that they were open at 8 AM central standard time. I live in Eastern standard time. I was on hold 51 minutes before I hung up. I was transferred and put on hold four times. I spent 1 hour and 51 minutes trying to get my money back because I should not have been charged. One person said that because I didn’t call three days before to cancel the contract that I could not get a refund of $92.96. I am hoping this review will prompt them to give me money back. All calls are recorded they can listen to them to hear that I asked for my contract to be canceled in time. My contract was under my maiden name taMica Gaither."

"I’m so disappointed with this warranty. They clearly over promise and never follow through as promised to deliver. They advertise 24/48 hours for repairs and I’ve had cold water for going on two weeks. Stuck somewhere in claims. But u call claims and they don’t have a clue of how long to tell you. I talked 3 reps from ARW and there were clearly 3 different lies told to me. RECORDED! And they hire companies w low ratings and reports to credit bureau. So your expectations should be extremely low if you choose this company ARW. Do some research of their reviews and type of reviews. It’s eye opening. Look at what companies they have servicing your home. So I talked to them today. Now they promise Monday. NO HOT WATER going on 2 weeks. We will see. I seriously doubt it. If they do I will follow up here."
