"Update: I called this gym on Feb 16, 2024 after the business owner's reply to see if they will resolve the issue for me. The manager told me that they will never cancel my gym membership if I don't pay for one month membership that I didn't use, which I did pay for in March, 2023. This manager said there is nothing he can do. He doesn't care that it's one hour round trip drive for me to go to this gym and didn't use the gym last year after March 1. He said I can leave negative review on Google. He wanted to go about his day and hung up on me. Ex members be aware! We should get together to file a class action lawsuit against this company. I signed up online with the premise that I could cancel ANYTIME with no commitment. After I signed up, I realized it's one hour round trip drive to go to any Crunch Fitness in my area. I went to this gym in person TWO TIMES as I read in the reviews that I have to go in person to cancel membership. Now they said there are three months commitment, annual fee, and one month membership fee that have to be prepaid in order to cancel the membership. I did PAY the total of $86 for membership fee and annual fee that I DID NOT USE in March, 2023. They just could not cancel my membership. They kept accumulating additional membership fees of $208 from April to September, 2023 and put it to collection. I went to a facility on March 1, made a second trip on May 20, and wrote a couple of emails to a manager. They would not cancel my membership. I had to report this to Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. This business disregarded their notices for two months. Consumer services told me they reserve the right to sue this company in the future. Now a year later, this business emailed me to join their membership for $1 ignoring that I am not close to their gyms, and promising they will waive 50% of my collection balance. I went there in person twice to cancel and they just COULD NOT CANCEL my membership last year. Why would I join again? This gym is a scam."

"Love this location! The staff is always so friendly and willing to help. They have every machine you can think of as well as a wellness center with a sauna and showers. Pro tip: this location is very popular so just make sure to plan your workouts in advance! They also have training sessions available for any budget. Nicole thr trainer is that girl, she got me so right!!"

"Update: Asked management multiple times to clean the filthy stinky men’s bathroom & locker rooms and still no improvement. The locker room reeks of body odor so bad I can hardly go in there, there’s water all over the floor and there’s trash all over the floor and the bathrooms are disgusting. Management needs to put a couple of $5 glade plug in air fresheners that periodically freshen up the locker rooms and clean the stinky sauna too. Staff should be over there every 30 min to mop up all the water on the floors instead of putting up a wet floor caution sign up. I can’t even change without getting my socks wet. It’s disgusting and not acceptable. I call and ask management to clean the bathrooms and while I’m there no one even looks at the mess. Other crunch locations are not run this poorly & have no issues keeping the bathrooms and locker rooms clean. If staff can’t keep the place maintained and clean, they need to be replaced. Crunch channelside at Kennedy grand Central, Channelside, in downtown tampa is a great location and a decent value at $10/month but not maintained too well. Crunch Channelside has made many improvements over the years including better pathway to locker rooms, moving equipment configuration, adding spinning, adding hydro massage, and adding tanning beds! Good spot with great music and good people! Staff is way nicer than dim lit la fitness gym. Crunch does get busy but it's a motivator to work in with people, talk to people, and work out faster!"
