Starz Dance Galaxy

"This is our 7 yr old daughter's second year dancing competitively and first year dancing competitively at Starz and we could not be happier. The owners, artistic director and office manager do a wonderful job of creating a positive environment for the dancers and their families. All of the staff are extremely caring, organized and professional, which is a big departure from our experience at the studio our daughter attended last year. The artistic director and other choreographers at the studio are true artists and it is clear that the Starz staff truly value each student as individuals. They identify each students' strengths and areas that need improvement while also fostering confidence and creativity in their students. My daughter had stopped dancing around the house for fun last year which she always used to do... she still loved dance in general but seemed to have lost her joy while doing it... since she has been at starz, she has once again found her joy of dancing. I am so thankful to have found such a nurturing environment with such a high level of instruction where I feel she will be challenged and realize her potential while also maintaining her love of dance. As mentioned, the level of instruction is phenomenal and my daughter has already improved greatly since starting at starz. I can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to continue watching our daughter grow in her dance journey with the guidance of the wonderful staff at Starz."

"Unprofessional is the nicest thing I can said, the 3 to 4 year old classes teacher is so unkind, treated my daughter so bad, she didn't even care. Clases sare super boring. Do yourself a favor and never take your child here."

"I was searching for a dance school to put my son and after reading the whole review of marih Van and the owner (Phil)response i dont think its a good idea for me to even call.. i think his response was very unprofessional (no matter if she was wrong or not) due to the fact that they should keep this private (at least the behaviour part) its upsetting to think that my most loved person it could be surrounded by these persons. Phil its not what you said its how you said it."

"I am incredibly unhappy with my experience with Starz dance Galaxy fern park location in Casselberry. I know that every location is different that is why I specified it's location. My daughter was four when we put her in classes. A thing to know about my daughter is she had a stroke when she was three and was diagnosed with epilepsy at four. I had informed the school and especially the teacher of my daughter's disabilities cause by her stroke and the teacher was not patient with her at all. She constantly kicked her out of class and would tell me all that she did wrong in front of the other parent's who were not aware of her condition. I felt that was very unprofessional. When I expressed my concerns with the management they said they would speak to the teacher but nothing was resolved. My daughter knew she was being treated differently and would beg me not to take her to class cause she would just get kicked out again. It broke my heart! I spent a lot of money to get her recital dress and she didn't even get to attend and even if she did she would know her dance because she kept being asked to leave. The school refused to refund me my money. You should treat every student equally and if there is a problem with the child talk to the parent privately! If your teachers cannot work with children with special needs please let that parent know because the child should not have to suffer because the teacher is too impatient for them!"

People who care for their wellbeing, people who inspire them and make them dream the impossible is always possible. People who help them grow both mentally, physically and emotionally. If dance is your child’s passion, this is the studio for them. This studio teaches amazing technique, but to me, they teach so much more than that. I am grateful for the amazing staff at Starz. They care for and love my children as if they were their own. They dare them to dream that anything is possible if you just try. They push them to be the best that they can be, while never adding unneeded pressure. I have seen my children explode with confidence and self-esteem here at Starz. There is a true spirit of teamwork here that we are so proud to be a part of. We came to Starz for my girls to explore their love for dance. …. We leave everyday with so much more than that."
