"Unfortunately, we didn’t have a great experience with Dr. Elfaki. She only saw my autistic son once and immediately referred him to a neurologist for a routine MRI. I thought it was strange, since he didn’t have any seizure/epilepsy history. Few months later, I have reached out and asked for a referral for a developmental pediatrician and equine therapy. After two weeks of making calls and having various conversations with the same nurse/medical assistant, I was told that she can’t give me the referral and that form for equine therapy “is not urgent”. I’m sorry, but that’s not how a pediatrician should attend her patients. Needless to say, we’ve already found a different provider who was more than happy to attend my son’s needs. If you have a doubt, keep looking for a another pediatrician.. your kids deserve to be treated with respect and urgency."
"My childrens pediatrician from birth has retired and thought I'd take my kids to this practice since its very close to our home/school. I have had 3 appointments and each time I have left I have thought to myself 'these doctors have poor bedside manners.' I have seen both doctors now and still feel this way. My youngest had gone in for pink eye and she spent 5 or so minutes asking my daughter if she bathed regularly because she 'looked like a dirty girl.' I had just picked my daughter from school. Whether or not my kid looked dirty- there is a way things should be said and delivered in front of a child. Today I took my other daughter- the first time we went she emphasized several times on how dark my daughter is. Today- as shes walking in she exclaimed 'MY GOD! You are 14 shades darker today!' That is our skin color. No one has gotten 14 shades darker. Again- there is a way to say things ESPECIALLY in front of children. Will not be returning."
"Man where do I begin, first and foremost to get ahold of them is mission impossible. Even when you leave messages after every call. Once you do get ahold of them, it seems as if they don’t know what they are even doing. Went in for an appointment and waited 30+ min in the room with my newborn to be seen. For the second and last visit they prescribe an anti acid medicine for my son and they forgot to send in the prescription to our pharmacy, I had to call them repeatedly until I got someone on the phone… after I left voicemails of course. They finally sent over the prescription and 3 days later is when I got a call back about it after I already spoke to someone the day prior. Clearly the communication from staff to patient is lacking but the communication from staff to staff is absent. I switched pediatricians and wouldn’t recommend anyone to this office."
"They called me to “reschedule” my son’s appointment. Then they gave me an appointment for 12:30. I got there by 12:30 and rudely the front desk lady left me and my 7 months old son outside saying that “it’s lunch time” and to come back at 1pm. Like I don’t have to go to work. Dr. Salma is an amazing doctor but their staff is always incredibly rude and careless."
