"The practice seemed really good like the receptionists were kind and helpful, the facilities were up to date and clean and there was a good policy to separate sick from well kids. My husband went to the same practice when he was a kid so that's how we found them. Our baby was about five weeks old when we switched to Dr. Hartlage and she had already been treated for a tongue tie at UF. Dr. Hartlage seemed to blow off our concerns about feeding issues and sleep, etc. She was in and out quickly and within no time, we felt as if the only thing the office cared about was vaccinations, just getting us in and out for that. Turns out our baby had a very severe tongue and lip tie which we spent 13 weeks in agony trying to figure out what was wrong and finally ended up seeing Dr. Sierra, a pediatric dentist, who revised the ties and she could finally eat and sleep normally. What a shame as a new parent to trust your doctor and be left figuring out what's going on with them alone, in the newborn days of sleep deprivation, etc. It was heartbreaking. We ended up getting a referral from the Dr. Harlage to see a pediatric dentist, but the referral had to be re-done three times since things were misspelled and left out by Pinky. This resulted in our baby getting her tongue tie revision a week later than was necessary. We ended up leaving the practice. Really unimpressed with the level of care and compassion. Not sure if it would be different if our child was a different age."
