"I’m glad I found this practice. My daughter has been seeing them since her birth on 2022. Appointments & Scheduling - I am satisfied with the ease of making appointments and how I do not have to wait for so long to get one -most especially if it is a problem/sick visit. They are very accommodating about it. Professionalism - Doctors, nurses, billing, medical assistants, and front desk associates all act very professional and friendly. Facility - I’m very pleased that the facility is very clean and always kept clean including the bathroom! Waiting room is spacious and wait time is not long. Perks & Bonus - 1. I love the Patient Portal online wherein I could send and ask questions 24/7 and providers usually respond within the same business day within their business hours (if not, they respond the next business day). I also have the option to schedule appointments online may it be a problem/sick visit or a routine check up. 2. Free 24/7 Nurse Access Line - a great perk that gives you the opportunity to speak to a nurse over the phone after business hours when you need a more immediate assistance when you have an urgent BUT non emergency medical concern about your child. It gives me more peace of mind and saves me trips to the Urgent Care or Emergency Room if it is unnecessary or not applicable. Last but not the least, I also would like to give a special mention to Dr. Von Edwins. We’ve seen him 3x with our daughter’s appointments and he’s just always so pleasant and wonderful. We’ve always appreciated how he is very personable, he takes his time to hear our concerns (most esp for a first time mom like me), he’s very understanding and he makes it a comfortable environment for you to share your concerns and questions without making you feel like being judged or you should’ve known this and that, and he’s very informative about how your child’s brain and/or body works and he says it in a way you understand (very helpful because as a first time mom sometimes you wonder about a lot of stuff and it’s easy to worry and get mom guilt and blame yourself for things that are either normal or common to happen with babies/toddlers). For that, I am very happy and thankful. Thank you so much ☺️"
"A top tier standard of care. We have seen 3 of their providers thus far and have loved every single one of them. We have also used the 24/7 nurse line in the middle of the night at day 8 of our daughter’s life, which saved my sanity and what would have been an unnecessary trip to the ER. We are so thankful for the care they’ve shown to our daughter and the fantastic communication."
"They used to be more personal but it seems like I was just turning into another numbered patient. I didn’t know I had an overdue bill for my daughter and they went ahead and sent it to collections. No call or email or anything asking for the payment I would have easily paid immediately. Then I thought I got everything squared away with a payment plan I set up. No, apparently there was another payment missed and they sent it to collections again without a phone call or email asking about for it. Once I finally was able to fix that for the second time, I decided to change physicians. I filled out the record release form and was told it would be faxed over. I also paid an additional $10 for them to email me my own copy. Not sure why I am charged for that but went ahead and paid. The doctors they supposedly “fax” the records to don't pay, but they make families pay. But attending the new physician appointment, I was told they never received my daughters medical records from Middleton’s office anyways. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I ended up having to forward the records myself because the wrong number was on file and they couldn’t be bothered to get the number."
"Our sons have seen Dr Middleton and his team for the last 3+ years, including since both births and performed both of their circumcisions. Their team is WONDERFUL. Dr. Von Edwins in particular is just such a delight. Everyone is very friendly, accessible, and knowledgeable. Most anyone we know in the area with kids takes them to Middleton and there's a reason why. Highly recommend!"
"I cannot say enough good things about Middleton Pediatrics. We've been with this office from the time we became pregnant in 2016. All these years later, this is still the best medical group we interact with; I wish all my providers were like them! The team at Middleton Pediatrics feels unique in many ways. You can call this office and quickly talk with a real person, which helps in discovering what steps you need to do next: speak with a nurse, come in for an appointment, etc. If you do need to be seen, more often than not you will be in the office within 24 hours. (We often make it in the same day if we call in the first hour or two of the office being open.) I never feel like it's too much to ask for the windows of time that work best, too - you never are made to feel "high maintenance" by the receptionists. Once you arrive, every person you interact with is welcoming and kind. (I'd consider naming names, but honestly, we've not had a bad interaction with any staff member; conversely, to name all of our stand out interactions would take up a lot of space!) The wait time is never much before you are placed in a room, and while some room wait times are a little longer than others, you never feel forgotten. And when you are being seen, you can understand why maybe it took a little longer for the provider to come in: you are never rushed through your appointment. Each person listens intently and intentionally, and I've never felt that any concern was too small raise or seemed unimportant. You leave with good information, important next steps, and clear expectations for progress and timeline. Perhaps the thing I appreciate most about this office is its commitment to our community. Pre-pandemic, Middleton Pediatrics was clear in its vaccination policy: patients were required to maintain the vaccination schedule unless there were medical reasons not to. When COVID moved through Florida in March 2020, Dr. Middleton sent regular communications with the most up-to-date information, creating helpful guideposts during a time in which it was easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. When it was time to decide if returning to school was the right choice for our individual family, Dr. Middleton's advice was central to our thought process. When we needed to advocate for stronger adherence to protocols when we returned to the classroom, Dr. Von Edwins was the calm encouragement to do so. Time and again, a visit or conversation over the phone with the providers at Middleton Pediatrics has solved our problem and put our mind at ease. If you are growing your family and are in need of a pediatrician, or if you are looking for a change from your current provider, I highly encourage you to reach out to Middleton Pediatrics. You couldn't ask for a better team to care for your child/ren!"
